A: Squeeze top and pull bottom. The top portion of the pen is where the clip is.

The only thing is it will smudge a bit when doing the circles but not when writing i guess have to give a chance to dry. Other than that would be 5 stars. Design is cute, pens are little heavy and sturdy. I still feel pentel does a better job in terms of grip but they quite similar in ink

What a disappointment! All of them were too tight so it needed a great force to take the cap off; one broke in pieces while trying to open it; the 2nd one was so tight that it couldn’t be opened at all; one did open. Target is an hour and half away so it was a big disappointment finding out the pens are defective.

The colors and messages on the pens are great and it writes well. The only downside is its slightly heavy but not in a bad way. The top also tends to fly off when writing but overall it's a nice pen set.

L(･‿･)VE the weight to these and writes smoothly for ballpoint pens (all in black ink). Cheerful colors with positive messages. Reasonable price point at $5.00. I will say the cap was tight at first to remove and put back on, but it does fit the bottom part of the pen nicely. If you love pens like I do, definitely get a box for yourself! And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, these make great Galentine’s gifts for the besties on your list!
