This new enameled pot surprised me with its performance, even beating my old favorite. It cooks evenly, keeps food moist with a tight lid seal, and is easy to clean. The matte black design is beautiful. I'm a fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 3 of these and use them daily, sometimes all 3 at the same time. I love the Staub dark interior. I had another brand that had white inside and it stained. I am a Staub fan foreve now!

This is the perfect pan for a crowd. Can roast three nice sized chickens, braise large brisket and roasts, gallons of stock and sauces, endless amounts of rice and pasta. My favorite for frying. We love using this for our holiday fish fry. Cooks up tons of seafood, fries, hush puppies and fritters in one pan. The grenadine color is beautiful, and I always get compliments when I use.

I have never seen a dutch oven this big before. I can cook huge batches of chili and jam at once. I love the matte interior. I get superior browning and the enamel coating makes it a breeze to clean. The braising spikes on the underside of the lid redistribute the moisture giving me great cooking results. I love the heat retention i get from the cast iron.

Perfect for a crowd! You can sear meat, simmer a sauce, make a stew, roast vegetables, fry chicken, boil potatoes, bake a dessert, and everything in between! The heat capability of this pan is amazing - it heats up quickly, evenly, and retains heat all the way through the cooking process. The cocotte has self-basting spikes on the interior of the lids which collect and return all moisture back into dish - keeping your dish moist and the flavor base intact. All pieces can be used on any cooking surface and are temperature safe up to 500F.

If you entertain a lot and with large crowds, you will thank yourself for having this cocotte! I love this size and I love this shape especially for roasting chickens or baking a boule of sourdough bread. You have enough room to add your vegetables in with the chicken, which is a huge plus. For baking bread the cast iron is perfect because it conducts heat so well, and retains the heat. The spikes under the lid collect moisture and self-baste whatever dish you are baking or roasting in the oven, all while it is cooking, so almost like you have an extra hand! You get to take all the credit though! Bread does come out perfect when baked in a staub and your chickens will come out juicy and golden brown.

This big boy does it all... can braise and seer...then slow cook and make many portions of stew. Heavy cast iron heats quickly and then holds that heat. Enameled beautifully inside with black enamel within for easy cleaning.

This is a large, tough cast iron piece for many servings. Graphite colour matches most modern kitchens and the multiple spikes beneath lid continually put moisture where the chef wants it.

This pot will be able to cook enough for a large crowd in one go! I love making a large pot of chili in this pot during the Superbowl and it is great that as soon as you heat it up, it will stay hot for a long time due to the cast iron. Clean up is easy too because the enameled cast iron doesn't require special care like normal cast iron.
