Minor imperfections under the handle, little rough, but the interior is perfect. Quite expressive compared to most other enameled cookware, but the quality is better. Too costly to buy a full set so I bought slowly over the years. The braiser was my first and I used it for everything. Really like the black interior finish, personally find it better than others on the market that I have tried. I feel it browns food better, doesn’t stain as easy, in fact I’ve had mine for 5 years and no permanent stains. Just follow the cleaning, storing, and heating guidelines.

The pan itself is fantastic. The issue is that I always planned on adding the accessory domed lid. After purchasing it, I found that the lid didn’t fit, it was too large. There must have been a run of smaller pots, and the owners of those pots will not be able to use accessory lids. Attempts at service have gone unanswered.

Over the years my le creuset pots have started to form a yellow stain whereas the staub has maintained its overall original appearance. Functions perfectly for baking breads, stews and casseroles. From stove to oven. Easy to clean.

When my family grew from 3 to 7 with my remarriage, I realized I needed something a little larger than the 4 qt cocotte I have. Thrilled to find a matching piece in Graphite in this size. Staub can't be beat as a cast iron product. Never has to be seasonsd, the dark interior has several advantages..better for browning, searing and sautéing meats and vegetables. The dark interior also doesn't show stains from foods like lighter interior cast iron. This cast iron is so versatile...I can bake in it, use it to deep fry, and of course all the normal functions of cooking.

This 5.5qt Cocotte was exactly was I was looking for and more. I usually cook for one, but I like to meal prep a larger batch so that I am not cooking every day. This size is also perfect for a family of 4. It is not only beautiful to look at, but it cooks your meals to perfection as it heats evenly on medium heat as well as helps retain the moisture in your foods with the special lid. The textured enamel is an easy transition for those used to cooking on non-stick surfaces but 10x better. Also, the gorgeous Graphite color goes well with my other All-Clad cookware without clashing. I would definitely purchase this Cocotte again!

I love this size and I love this shape especially for roasting chickens. You have enough room to add your vegetables in with the chicken, which is a huge plus. The spikes under the lid collect moisture and self-baste the dish all while it is cooking, so almost like you have an extra hand! You get to take all the credit though!

Great size for everything. Braise on nearly 11" bottom, saute and of course stews. has nobs inside lid...a Staub trademark, that keeps moisture where it should be. Colour gradually lightens from top to bottom. Easily cleanable

I love the size on this dutch oven, for my needs 4 qt is too small and the 7 is for bigger events. this has become a good size for weekly meals with some leftovers for lunches. It has a good height, deep enough that the lid doesn't touch the food so you get good use of those basting spikes.

This is perfect family size pot. You can get a whole chicken it it for roasting or make a batch of soup with left overs. I fry burgers and steaks in the pot all the time - because of the high walls there is not splattering of grease. The interior black matte finish produces a perfect sear on meats.
A must have Staub cast iron size!!!

It is perfect for my small family. It does make a difference food taste wise, efficiency-saves gas and you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table without the need to use another dish. I also bought a staub cast iron trivet to protect my table from direct heat.

The graphite grey color from Staub is one that goes well in any kitchen. I use this 5.5qt cocotte almost on a daily basis for a variety of recipes when making food for my boyfriend and I. This provides us with plenty of food for dinner and lots of leftovers.
