Q: About the top surface, is it water resistant? I plan to use it as one would an end table, to place drinks and other things on the table top. Will it swell or discolor? Or does it have a waterproof veneer on the top surface?

A: If something is spilled on the Steel River Side Table Carbon Oak and cleaned relatively fast, no damage will be done. But if the liquid has time to absorb, damage will occur (just like solid wood). We recommend using a coaster under drinks.

I have been looking forward to purchasing this table for quite some time as it matches our existing furniture quite well. When the product arrived it was very professionally, and carefully packed to avoid damage. However, during The assembly process I noticed an imperfection that prevented me from continuing with the assembly. I immediately called the customer service number clearly displayed in the instructions. The in-person help I received by phone was remarkably courteous and extremely helpful. They handled the problem better than I had expected. Although there was a minor inconvenience in my delay in assembling the product, a prompt replacement of the defective part allowed me to continue with only a couple of days wait. Setting aside a minor disappointment for the delay, the overall quality of the product, and the outstanding customer service made me appreciate this product better than I had expected. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was because my initial experience with the defect was not perfect. My wish is that others can emulate the quality of this company's customer service!

This table looks great and the instructions were super easy to follow! I wish all assembly instructions were as clear and entertaining as these were! Great sense of humor too! some assembly (and snacks) required. Ha!

We use this table to store stuff of the moment. Coffee in the am You can roll it to any chair that needs it. Its the cutest thing. Wonderfully made once you assemble it a very good purchase may just get another
