[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I initially set up the devices, I waited 24 hours to see if they caught anything. The sticky pads were completely clean. I filed a return request and then packed one up. I moved the other device to a different room, just in the hopes that maybe, MAYBE it'd catch something there. And boy did it. Holy smokes. The other one caught so many flies it looked like the sticky pad had been dipped into a jar of flies (where my Alice in Chains fans at? lol. But seriously...). I cancelled the return request, unpacked the second device and moved it into different room than where I had placed it previously, where it ended up working very well too. Here's some advice if you're not having luck with these: 1) Place the device in a room where it won't be competing with other light sources, especially sunlight. For instance, there're no windows in my bathrooms, neither one gets very much light from any nearby windows, and it is absolutely comical how many flies the devices catch in there. When I initially set them out, they were in my kitchen, which is open to the living room with a large window in it, so they both receive a lot of light for nearly 2/3rds of the day, so these devices did not catch anything there. 2) To really be effective against fruit flies, take away competing temptations such as food and places to lay eggs. And I do mean FORGET the finicky home made vinegar traps that seem to trap only a few, less evolved flies dumb enough to try to land directly on the liquid, and just feeds the rest (who thank you, btw). If it's possible for you, store fruits and veggies that you might typically keep out on your counter or wherever in your fridge until the population has been reduced. If you are able, only throw "dry" trash away in your trash bins (non-food related paper type stuff), and throw "wet" trash such as food discards and wet paper towels into smaller grocery bags (maybe double bag it tho) and place that bag in the refrigerator or freezer, somewhere where it's not coming into contact with food and beverages, until you're ready to put it outside your home to be collected. And if you're wondering what to do for areas that do have competing light sources, personally I use the SafeHome uv type devices and they work very well where the STEM ones don't. Or, get yourself a nice fly swatter, wait for them to congregate on a window or a large white surface during daylight hours and then smack the crap out of 'em. You'll of course need some glass cleaner and newspaper or other wipes to clean the surface afterward, but such is the price of fruit fly war.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re tired of chasing down bugs with a shoe or spray, the STEM Plug-In Insect Catcher might be your new best friend. This modern, hands-free pest control device offers a clean, quiet, and chemical-free way to keep unwanted insects out of your living space—and it’s surprisingly effective. Pros: • Chemical-Free & Safe: Perfect for homes with kids or pets. It doesn’t rely on harsh chemicals or sprays, making it a healthier alternative. • Easy to Use: Just plug it in and let it do the work. No complicated setup or maintenance. • Silent Operation: Unlike zappers or other electronic repellents, this runs quietly, so you won’t even notice it’s there. • Discreet Design: Its sleek, compact form blends in with most home décor and doesn’t draw attention. • Effective Coverage: Great for small-to-medium-sized rooms like kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Cons: • Limited Range: For larger homes or open spaces, you may need multiple units for full coverage. • No Instant Results: It works gradually over time, so don’t expect a bug-free space in an hour. • Insect Type-Specific: More effective for flying insects like gnats and moths than crawling pests like ants or roaches. Why It’s Great for Any Home: Whether you’re in a city apartment or a suburban house, the STEM Plug-In Insect Catcher offers a mess-free, no-fuss solution to common insect problems. Its safety, ease of use, and eco-conscious design make it ideal for families, pet owners, and anyone looking to keep bugs at bay without the use of harsh sprays or traps. It’s especially handy during warmer months when insects are more active. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, safe way to handle everyday insect annoyances, the STEM Plug-In Insect Catcher is a solid investment that delivers peace of mind—and a bug-free home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I like the most about the STEM Flying Insect Light Trap is that it's very stylish and can easily double as a night light. I left the item plugged on for a few days and didn't catch many insects, but that's OK. It does work, so that's the main thing! The packaging also states that it's chemical free in addition to being pet friendly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since receiving this item, it has shown as a convenient bug suppressant that has already caught some fruit fly’s on the sticky side of the trap. It emits a beautiful periwinkle blue color and attracts the bugs. Photos include on with lights on and another in the dark. It can be a great nightlight for a hallway for visual guidance or for the student!
Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the photo speaks for itself. It works I like putting it close to my fruit bowl. I love that it’s chemical free just a glue trap and blue light. Don’t have to worry about safety. It’s a little pricey but it’s well worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the woods and there are these little tiny gnats that get through the window screens. I plugged this in and after 1 night was surprised to see a good number of them were caught by the light and sticky filter. I will continue to purchase the refills and use it through summer. Overall a good and safe product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product easy to use. Love how it attracts all the gnats especially for indoor plant lovers. Very safe no harsh chemical. Worth every penny. Seen a bigger type for larger areas. This product is great. I end up using it in the kitchen where my indoor plants are located. Got rid of my knats instantly. Product is very effective, where you see most of the knats.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this product works to trap insects without using pesticides, which is great for homes that have pets or kids. Any gnats and fruit flies in the house have eventually been lured by the blue light to the trap and have been stuck to the adhesive and I like that I can just plug it into the wall and basically forget about it while it does its job. It does seem to work best at night, during the day insects don’t really notice much but in the morning have made their way to the trap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this flying insect trap. We don’t currently have an issue with a lot of bugs in our house, but this has caught at least one already. I’m sure it will be needed even more in the future as we get more flies, gnats, and mosquitos. I like that it doesn’t have a scent or anything and just looks like a nightlight. I would say this is a good value for what you get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was beyond excited to purchase the stem flying insect trap starter kit as my dog likes to have the sliding door open all day and of course we get all types of flying insects that come into the house. This fly trap works amazing as the glue is very sticky and will trap any Flying insect that it comes in contact with. My only warning is to be careful that you place the sticky trap portion securely on the device as I did not do that and the sticky trap got stuck on my counter and I had to literally yank it off. Definitely recommend if you struggle with flying insects in your home as this is a life changer.
Need more time to tell if it works.
