The Scout & Slide Climber is designed with sturdy, curved metal support bars and a wide base to ensure stability during normal play. However, it does not come with ground stakes or anchoring supplies to secure it to the ground. Instead, per the assembly and safety guidelines, it's very important to install it on a level surface to reduce the risk of tipping. For optimal safety, Step2 recommends using approved loose-fill surfacing materials like wood mulch or rubber mulch rather than placing it directly on grass, concrete, or asphalt. If you're concerned about tipping or movement on grass, you may want to create a bordered play area with loose-fill surfacing, or consult with a local installer about options that comply with outdoor play safety standards. Purchased this climber for my toddler as he has boundless energy to burn and the winter weather doesn’t always cooperate for outdoor play. This climber caught my eye as being suitable for toddlers and young children- I did not want something he would outgrow by next year. It was important to me that it was big enough to grow with him but also small enough to be assembled in our playroom for indoor use. The climber assembly went smoothly with help from online video. To say my kiddo loves it would be an understatement. If you are on the fence like I was, take this as your sign to purchase this climber!

Easy to assemble, if you follow the directions. Two people are a must. My two year old granddaughter loves to climb and slide, crawl up, in and around through the item. She spent about an hour just climbing up the ladder and down the slide. I had just said that I wasn't going to show her the other sides, and she discovered them herself. Warning - it does get hot in the sun, but that's clearly stated in the directions.

My kids love this climber! They are 2 & 5. The slide is much faster than the red and blue little tiles one according to my oldest, which is a bonus! No complaints. My husband put it together with a drill in about 45 minutes.

I bought this for my 21 month year-old daughter as a Christmas gift. It has brought her much enjoyment. She begs to go outside every day to play on it, and it is worth every penny! I spent a lot of time, searching for some thing that was age-appropriate, and would it cause me too much worry. This fit perfectly, and is aesthetically pleasing with our modern house. I would like to add that our package was missing a few pieces. Customer service was wonderful and shipped them out immediately. But I would double check that you have everything before you begin assembly. It took my husband and I a little over an hour to put it together.

I bought this play structure for my 19 month old grandson to play on when he comes over. It's the perfect size for him! it challenges him to learn new climbing skills as there are so many different ways to climb up it (although, his favorite way is to climb up the slide) The bars across the top give more ways to get a good grip and are fun to swing on over the slide. This will last him a good 3-4 more years. It makes a great fort, or a pretend truck or boat when driving with the steering wheel. Felix especially loves to run his toy trucks down the slide. Its just a cute, fun and versatile toy. I can move it by myself when I need to. Took about 2 hours to put together. Not too difficult, Just make sure you screw the steering wheel screws in a parallel direction to the wheel and not in diagonally as they will pull the wheel in too tight and it wont spin.

Relatively simple to put together and has lots of opportunities for my son to climb around. I like the muted colors over bright ones. My husband can easy move it around the yard to prevent the grass from dying. Overall, really enjoy this play set!

I did a lot of research before buying this product. I wanted something that was multifunctional and could give my children lots of options for play for many years to come and be well worth the money. Once I ordered the climber, it arrived within a week of ordering. When I received the climber, it was very easy to put together. It took me a couple of hours to put together myself without my husbands help. I purchased the climber for my 1.5 year old son but his 4 & 5 year old sisters enjoy playing on it as well. The kids love it and I can see we're going to get a lot of use out of it for many years to come. Very happy with my purchase and it's going to be well worth what I spent on it!
