Q: What is the benches weight limit? Can an adult and 1 to 2 children all sit on this at one time (adult weight ~116lbs and each child ~50lbs and growing)?

A: I don't have the actual weight limit. We have this bench sitting outside our front door on our porch. We often have two adults or a few children sitting on it at one time. It's a solid piece of furniture. We've enjoyed it.

Q: This is unfinished. So, can I assume this can be painted? Which pieces need to be assembled?

A: Yes, this items is unfinished and is ready for the customer to paint or stain it. The bench comes in 5 different pieces - the top, two vertical panels, two side panels, one bottom panel and the back panel. Hardware is included and only a screw driver is needed for assembly. We got this for our son's room. He displays his books and treasures in the sheves and sits/lays on it to read. It is sturdy, looks great, and was easy to assemble. I might buy more for other rooms.

This is a very solid piece of furniture, that has been well sanded with hardwood flooring type of a top. Will be very pretty when finished. 1 recommendation would be if you are to have people sit or stand on it to add additional support as the backing is not solid wood.
