To protect the top of your dresser, the Storkcraft Nest Changing Topper has a soft, felt-covered bottom. Compatible with the Storkcraft Nest Contour Changing Pad (interior dimensions of the topper: 32.52 inches wide x 15.51 inches deep). Required dresser top area: 34" wide by 17" deep.

A: Do you mean 17x36 inches? I'm having a hard time understanding why a dresser would need to be 46 inches wide to accommodate.

Support surface must be level, stable, and structurally sound with a minimum surface dimension of 17in x 46in. Changing Topper’s bottom surface is covered in a soft, felt fabric to protect the top of your dresser from scratches, and preserve the life of your dresser.
