Description
Named for a long-shuttered beauty parlor that housed the first Stumptown location, Stumptown Hair Bender was the very first blend that Stumptown founder Duane Sorenson introduced to the world. In fact, we still have the Hair Bender sign in our headquarters, watching over us as we roast each batch. Hair Bender is a complex blend featuring coffee from three major growing regions; Central and South America, East Africa, and Indonesia. Its complexity is what allows for a harmonious flavor profile of sweet citrus, milk chocolate, and caramel. We continually taste this blend and each of its components, both on the cupping table as well as espresso, to best maintain the balance of flavors. Nearly 20 years ago, Stumptown Coffee Roasters began roasting exemplary coffee. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Stumptown is committed to sourcing, roasting and serving some of the best coffee in the world. Achieving B Corp status in 2018, Stumptown strives to be a leader in sustainability and is focused on making sincere and lasting contributions to the environment as well as to their employees and community.

This is a staple that I enjoy in my coffee rotation. I know when I pick up Stumptown its going to be consistant. Like you know how you go to Starbuck and you already know how your drink is going to taste. This is it. It has a nice rich chocolate taste with the ever so slight citrus note to really balance and take it home. I use this in my Breville machine and shots come out perfect every time.

I do agree with others here, that I would only buy a bag in store and make sure the bag has an expiration date close to roasting. I bought a bag today that is 1 month from roasting and packaging. Makes a great tasting latte and Americano. This is my second bag. Is a great deal if you can find it for $13 instead of $16.

It’s so good! I’m not a coffee connoisseur, but I do love going to cafes and having good cappuccinos or lattes. I can never really get a cup at home to taste like those, mostly because my espresso machine is old and cheap, and making good coffee takes skill, but I’ve been experimenting with different beans and these have been one of my favorites from the store. Smells amazing and coffee is nice and smooth. Will buy again!

This espresso blend pulls espresso very nice with a standard amount of crema on top, I just wish I was able to buy these at a closer date to the roast date. My advice: don’t buy the bag for $15 but wait until they go on sale for $10-$12 each. The light blue bag is also delicious for pour over but these best perform freshly ground.

We love this brand. However we got one with expiration date of litterly 2 weeks from today. That is not fresh for coffee and we don't want to use it since it takes us 2-3 weeks to use a pack. Items such this should have a minimum of 1 month expiration date
