I ALWAYS use MCP Fruit Pectin when I make all of my freezer jam. This year, I made blackberry jam, strawberry jam and raspberry jam. MCP is SO easy to use, and all of my jams come out perfectly. I have received so many requests for my jams. MCP is my secret!
Had to try the MCP pectin, that’s all I could find

Used it in 2 batches of jelly and neither one set. I’m going to have to hunt around for boxes of the original. Hope you are not replacing the original for this MCP. I’ve been making jelly for 40 years and your original never let me down. This MCP is just ruining fruit.

I have been making freezer jam for over 20 years. This year alone, I have made 14 batches and had to use 3 different brands of pectin due to supply issues at my store. The 3 I made using MCP (following the directions) didn't set. 2 batches completely separated and the 3rd just stayed runny. I used sure jell, Mrs wages and MCP and wasted SO many berries and SO much sugar on the MCP brand. Too bad I cant be refunded for all my supplies!!!

I have been using Sure-Jell to make my strawberry jam for about 15 years now and have also made the peach and raspberry jams, without issue. The box said "new look, same great formula" from the makers of Sure-Jell. It was the only option so I trusted it was the "same great formula" What a waste of time and money. I know to follow these recipes to the T & always make the quick & easy freezer jam. This is where it ended (what a waste of my neighbor's fresh peaches from their tree) It's basically peach flavored sugar after trying to stir it long enough to dissolve the sugar - never happened. Surely there was a mix up or misprint in the directions??? And I have 3 boxes of this - won't buy again :(

Does anyone have the old recipe that uses corn syrup? That is my go to recipe and now I don’t have it!

All other pectin products fail miserably compared to MCP. It is simply the best!

I have used this product for the last 37 years and this year it let me down. All of my freezer jams failed even after following the directions for "What to Do if Your Freezer Jam or Jell Doesn't Set. I made strawberry, peach and raspberry. Followed directions to the letter as always. The money wasted in the lost fruit is upsetting. Hope you can afford the loss of disappointed customers.

I have made jams and jellies for years with mixed results. After I switched to MCP fruit pectin I have not had a single batch fail to jell. I make a lot of jam every year for gifts and to eat as well.

I tried this product twice, once for a recipe in the Ball blue book for preserving and once for a recipe on the box insert. Neither recipe gelled. I will not be using MCP pectin again.

I make freezer jam every year, so I'm not a newbie to the process. I bought 10 boxes of powdered Sure-Jell. I made 5 single batches and they are all runny. So I made another batch and used 1-1/2 pkgs of pectin to the 3/4 cup of water. Still runny. Everything is measured correctly...no guesswork. For all the effort it takes, not turning out is frustrating. Date on pectin boxes is 07 March 2022. The end result tastes great...just isn't spreadable.

I don't know what MCP stands for, but I believe it doesn't work. I made basil jelly according to the recipe and the jelly came out runny.

I had used MCP Pectin for 40 years until I was no longer able to buy MCP anywhere I had access. I kept my recipe from the inside of my old box. I easily used 20 boxes for strawberry freezer jam alone. However I am now very apprehensive about purchasing it on line if the recipe no longer is the same- lemon juice, sugar, and Karo syrup. No cooking/boiling, just low heating to melt sugar, baby bath temp. Never ever had a problem and the Karo prevented crystals from forming. Tell me that MCP hasn’t changed and I can use my old recipe! All ratings are for old product.

I am wondering why MCP no longer includes corn syrup in their freezer jam recipe? Has anyone noticed a difference in their results?

I don't like adding extra sugar, more than most recipes, lemon juice which can alter the taste, and water. It also requires an additional 3 minutes of cooking. I don't understand why Kraft made this product.
