Survive Outdoors Longer Scout Survival First Aid Kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my survive outdoors longer scout kit a couple of weeks ago we haven’t had a chance to go camping out but we plan on it it had some really cool items in it and I can’t wait to try it. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was offered this, I was pretty excited as my husband and I are into survival things like this and having resources that we need in an emergency. We got this, and looking at it, it's a nice little kit, small so it's easy to throw in a bag and go. Very compact. It's contents though, are more for making you feel good that you have this bag. We were unimpressed. The blanket is a blanket, it's always good to have in bad weather or for shock. The fire striker was actually really nice. It was easy to operate and worked very well. The waterproof tinder was also pretty nice too. The whistle... whistled, it was loud, but also very basic (which honestly I guess you don't need much). The mirror was seemingly small, so while it's good to have, you have a small area to work with to get a light on. The duct tape was the most disappointing. My husband stuck it to his arm (with hairy arms) and it didn't even stick. It just pulled right off, no pain to him. The compass was nice. My husband's favorite part was the little fishing/sewing kit. He said that that would be useful, however, you would need an additional small fishing pole with it. This kit is very basic, and honestly, it's alright, but not something I would choose. It only has a few things that are useful.

There are lots of things inside that might help you to survive. There is a survival blanket and fire started included inside of the kit. I am going to buy a few of these for my family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this SOL Scout Kit, I mean who wouldn't, not only does this kit have everything you may need in a survival situation but it has a waterproof dry bag to keep everything in. This kit has it all from the compass, waterproof fire starter and tinder quik, to even a survival blanket!! Very good quality items and easy to store for your convenience. I will be buying more of these to put in different vehicles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Small and compact but mighty! Come in a handy waterproof bag that keeps it dry while roaming the countryside. Contains everything you need to survive in the outdoors. Love how conpact it is and not to heavy to carry in case if an emergency.

The kit is also compact, light weight, made with durable materials/well packaged! It was easy to toss in with my stuff and not feel like it added much weight!

I live in an area where we get a LOT of snow and ice in the winter and I'm always worried about breaking down when I drive. This is a great kit to keep in the car and I'm planning on getting a few more for family.

It's small and compact to carry around where and whenever. It has a compass, blanket, tinder quick, micro sparker, duct tape, sewing kit, fishing kit, whistle, and a mirror. It has everything you need just to get by a bit longer. Nice thing to have when your outdoors.

It is the perfect size to always take with me and feel safe knowing I have the essential to survive if something was to happen. The dry bag is great and it's so cool that it comes with fishing stuff, what a great survival item! Totally recommend

Everything you could need for survival situations. With as small, and as light, as this is, there is no reason not to have it in your pack. Very happy with these kits. Highly recommend!

While I have not used everything (I'm looking at you survival blanket), everything else in this kid is very well made, super sturdy, and works well. Even the bag is well made and appears will hold up for a long time. Perfect lightweight, compact addition to my hiking bag. Better safe than sorry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had some time in the backwoods with this kit, and it is a great starter kit! The fire striker that is included will start the tinder ( you will have to expand the tinder by pulling it apart into a cotton ball type) the emergency blanket is large enough to build a pup tent with to stay dry for a day or two, possibly longer if you are careful not to tear it, and block the ends it will keep in heat from your body at the same time, whistle is loud enough to be heard to alert rescue of general location. Signal mirror is small but does its job. Great addition to BOB bag, get home bag, hiking pack, car, camping etc. Or to build existing first aid/ emergency kit.Would buy again!!
