A: Hello Andrea, Unfortunately this specific frame is not compatible to have a headboard attached. However we do offer this style frame with a headboard attached already. We were very pleased with this good looking bed frame for our guest room. I highly recommend it. It is exactly as pictured with the wood footboard being very pretty. The assembly was a snap. Love the fact that it's sturdy without having all the spindly looking metal legs showing underneath like most bed frames. It's clean looking. Love it.

While it's not worth the hassle of packing it up and returning it, there's an inch long chip in the wood panel, the only decorative part of the bed frame and a clear defect. There are other marks in the wood portion as well similar to the appearance of nail indentations (only noticable up close and a much smaller issue). I'm unsure if any of this was due to shipping as a metal leg was moving freely in the box which shouldn't happen., It more looks like something that was missed in quality control or allowed to go out. It was easy to assemble and gives plenty of underbed clearance, two main priorities. Would still recommend even with the build issues.

The materials are sturdy and well made, easy to assemble and properly packaged. The corners of the metal can be softened a bit as it could hurt you when bumped into accidentally.

The frame is just what my hubby needs while living as a PHD student away from home! It was easy to assemble, the wood was in fine condition and it is solid. He opted for this version over the Joseph all metal platform version to avoid toe stubbing. Bonus was the easy ability to slide things under the bed!

The bed arrived with 2 pretty noticeable cracks in the wood - from a bolt that they screwed in at factory.
There is also a pretty big kind of scuff mark or rub on the wood -- and this bed is so simple and has only that one piece of wood on it --
so your eyes go right to those things! Because of hassle factor, I decided to keep it anyway.
It seems sturdy and was super easy to assemble. My blankets will usually have the damage covered.... but it's annoying.
