My doctor prescribe pregnenolone to increase my energy level, lower stress and sleep better. I been taking it for about 2 months and so far I can tell has allow me to feel rested when I wake up... so far great!

So far, this product seems to be doing its work. I am in my 80's and bought it to help me recuperate from whatever it was that happened to me nearly 8 months ago. Loss of memory, loss of brain/eye coordination, double vision, total loss of comprehension of how sick I apparently was. I am seeing memory loss declining, comprehension growing, and brain/eye coordination better. At this age your body no longer has hormones like when young. This seems to be helping.

Can’t really tell if it helps anything. It’s supposed to balance hormones and is touted as “The Mother of Hormones”. Still has to be proven to me, I’m giving it more time.

I take pregnenolone every morning. I follow the Ray Peat diet and this supplement combined with a no grain diet makes me feel wonderful. No brain cloud or fog and my memory is on track. Without it I can't remember names or if I took my pills. Best supplement to keep your brain young and supple.

Buying this from Swanson is less expensive than getting it mixed into my compound. The capsule size is not difficult to swallow & the price is great.

I bought and used the 10 mg. Swanson pregnenolone and wrote a favorable review. I am not sure how to revise or update my review and if that is even possible, but I wanted to caution others in case they had the same reaction that I did. At first, this supplement in the 10 mg. strength really seemed to help balance out my hormones. But as the weeks or months went on, I noticed that I was "revved up" too much: my blood pressure was up and I was irritable and my periods actually disappeared. I stopped the pregnenolone and my blood pressure went back to normal but my periods have not returned yet and it's been 2 1/2 months. I am very sensitive to supplements and hormones, but in case others are too, I just wanted to write this review to let you know to proceed with caution and preferably, guidance from your doctor or nurse. I think this would be a great supplement for older, post-menopausal women, and I may try it again once I reach that stage. But it is potent and it is to be used with medical guidance and caution.

Five stars is not enough. Many of the Swanson brand products we've tried seem more potent than those of other brands. This pregnenolone is one of those with great quality & effectiveness. I find it helpful for a sense of general well-being. I wish I could make a statement about this supplement & my medical situation, but it seems that is prohibited here. When you add effectiveness onto the great prices, excellent customer service & speedy delivery, the repeat orders of this product have been a no-brainer for me.

I find this makes the DHEA I take more effective. I have noticed more energy and endurance when taking this. I would not say it is miraculous but it has been a significant improvement. I will continue to take this.

Pregnenolone is a daily supplement for me, 100 mg. At my age I'd take more if it cost less. That said, Swanson charges less than most places.
