Not sure why - but it does not taste like dark roast coffee. French Roast is one of my favourites in coffee and I was looking forward to trying this one out. Sorry - but I have tried everything (using more coffee than I normally would per cup) but no - not for me :(

This has become my favorite coffee. Bought 2 bags recently at regular price of $11.98(something like that). Liked it so well, bought 4 bags at 30% off Swanson products sale last week(great price for a one pound bag) Great flavor and aroma. I buy decaf and regular as I always mix it 50/50.

I've only been a coffee drinker since Dec. 2014 and have tried 5-6 different whole bean coffees to date. I brew about 20 ounces every morning and use about a tablespoon of grassfed butter and 1 teaspoon of MCT oil. This coffee has a smooth non bitter taste and I plan on continuing to purchase it. Sorry I can't comment on how it would be if consumed in a more customary manner.

Priced relative to other top quality organic coffees I've used for years and decided to take a risk buying here online. Very impressed with smooth flavor and freshness. Have bought several times and will buy again. Not as convenient as buying at a local store, but look forward to Swanson's quick delivery.

Organic coffee is the only coffee we drink. This French Roast Dark blend has an excellent full bodied flavor. Sometimes we add the Swanson Organic Regular blend beans and grind the two together for a third variety. Thank you Swanson's for offering us a healthier alternative to the prevalent chemical-laden coffee beans offered in supermarkets and grocery stores.

This is my favorite blend.I hope they continue to source their beans from the same place because once you open the bag you can see the quality of the beans and smell the intoxicating aroma;thereby, you know you are fixing to have "THE BEST" cup of coffee...organic coconut milk,a little organic sugar and even a teaspoon of coconut oil top it off....When it is on sale I stock up for the value is excellent!

I have always wanted to try organic coffee, but the cost always was prohibitive for me. I love Swanson's products, so when I saw that they had coffee at such an excellent price, I had to try it. I ordered this organic French Roast as well as the House Blend medium roast beans. I grind then mix them 1/2 and 1/2 for the most delicious cup of coffee I've EVER had. I can hardily recommend both of these coffees to anyone that loves a wonderful cup of coffee.

I love this coffee and the price is the best value I have found. My family goes through 2 pots every morning, so price is important to me, but I also am picky about taste and quality, I want my beans fresh. This coffee meets both price and quality, am very happy to have discovered this coffee and will continue to buy. Highly recommend!!!!
