I gave it 5 stars, but it quickly defaulted to this screen as soon as I selected the first star. I think it is a great product. I have been taking it for quite some time for herpes simplex virus. With regular use, I find that it is a good preventative measure.

Lysine, L-Proline, and L-Arginine (taken in the morning) in addition to Cholesterol Essentials (taken at night), I believe, lowered my cholesterol from 335 years ago to 157 now.

Great product. Easy to swallow. I take one a day to keep the cold sores and canker sores away. If you get a cold sore you can take up to 9 a day to lesson the severity of the core sore out break.

I've been using this supplement daily for over 20 years. I had a series of canker sores and began using L-Lysine to strengthen my immune system. It worked, or at least I haven't had one since. Also, It seems the severity of cold or virus symptoms is less than friends and family report. My only quibble is with the large size of the capsules. I recommend it to friends and others.

All SWANSON brand, 11 bottles that I just received do not have a security tamper proof. Inside has a lip cover which can be easily tampered with. Please add a security tamper proof to the bottles as before.

My elderly Momma had shingles 3X in 6 months. She also has frequent cold sores on her nose and lips. I had read that L-lysine might be helpful. She took a whole bottle and had 2 cold sores and another case of shingles while taking them. I don't know if they helped very much?

My Doctor recommended 3 capsules of L Lysine every day. I have been taking it for 20 years to strengthen my immune system. She started me on it when I was recovering from a hospital (Merca) infection. I haven't gotten that infection, nor a "fever blister" ever since! I guess it works.

I am occasionally afflicted by fever blisters, especially when I've eater too many nuts. I've found Lysine can greatly reduce the number of fever blisters I get so I take 1 gram every day. When I start getting a fever blister, I increase the dosage to around 6 grams a day and the fever blisters symptoms are either minimized or gone in one to two days.
Helps my burning mouth syndrome.

Medical professionals can't diagnosis my problem so I've decided my symptoms best match burning mouth syndrome. I take a tablet in am and late afternoon. If I don't take it, my symptoms get worse. Proof for me that Lysine works for me.

I use L-Lysine and really believe in it, but I will never order the Swanson brand again. Not only did it arrive with cap off, but some of the capsules inside the bottle were empty. No quality control whatever. When I contacted Swanson about it, the rep said it was okay if the cap was off because the bottle was still sealed. Really lame.
