I fully agree with "Scientific Numbers" 16 days ago from Wisconsin. I specified lighting of all kinds over my 30.5 years as an electrical engineer. Lamp lumens (candlepower), watts, kevin temperature (color) and lamp life (and price) are all absolutely necessary to compare lamps and to assess best applications. Otherwise one is buying a pig in a poke - blind! Shame on what use to be a premier company. Would I recommend to a friend? - well Sylvania is about the only choice on the market. Which is called monopoly.

What's up with Sylvania not listing specs so us the consumer can make an educated decision. I'm comparing the 9005 Basic Halogen, 9005 Xtra Vision Halogen, 9005 SilverStar Halogen, and the 9005 SilverStar Ultra Halogen. For starters whats the lumen output. Come to find out Sylvania doesn't even give this to their own customer service team. Only way I could get longevity numbers was to call their customer service team. The numbers in the same order as above are 320 hours, 200 hours, 100 hours, and 125 hours. When I asked about color (which should be given in "K" kelvin) I was told the first two are yellow"ish" and the last two are whiter. Wow, isn't that scientific. With this lack of information I might as well buy 2nd tier. NOT impressed Sylvania.

And they're pretty dang good. Way better than my last bulbs. I drive a 1992 Ford Crown Vic and the bulbs were pretty dim. I got these for free from my brother as high beams and the difference is absolutely night and day.

These bulbs are a joke. Total waste of money. So dim I can't drive at night. Completely overpriced and no better or brighter than the Sylvania basics which are terrible. Never buying Sylvania bulbs again. They are the worst.

Good fit, good results. A little brighter and whiter than the original bulbs but pretty similar. Pleased overall but wonder if the less expensive versions would have been noticeably worse.

I put these in my 16 optima cause one bulb died they are practically fog lights and are useless for road visibility

Replaced the original headlights in a 2015 Rav4 with only 27000 miles on it. Paid $120.00+ for the four bulbs. Not really any different from the original bulbs. I am disappointed in the false lighting description of these bulbs especially for th eprmium price.
Always use Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. You can't go wrong.

2013 RAV4 XLE One headlight bulb burned out. Both bulbs were still the original bulbs. It is recommended that both bulbs be replaced even if one is still working so that's what I did. I really loved these bulbs initially. They were much brighter than the original bulb. Unfortunately one of the bulbs burned out after about 10 months. That's disappointing.

Initially I had a LED aftermarket installed prior to this one. I love the led looks and the white lights output but the led start going on and off by itself so I bought this one and noticed what I've been missing on my night drive. The wide and further output was amazing its bright being halogen and for the color temp are still yellow but driving through foggy road. I think the yellow is better for those foggy night anyways. I wish the sylvania will produce 9012 on their zevo lineup though also the gold. Thanks sylvania for considering my suggestion 😆

bought my trucks used when they were just a year old. Always the trucks, replaced headlights in pairs once a year BUT I always used the lower cost Sylvania Silverstar 9006 & 9005 which ONLY saved a few dollars per set. I just never realized until now what I was missing. These Silverstar ULTRA bulbs make my night driving safer because they're BRIGHT WHITE, I definitely see more and further than ever before using the lower cost bulbs. I recommend these to anyone wanting to see better and ha e the HID style white lights too

Perfect headlamp replacement. As my 2018 RAM Laramire required removal of grille, headlamp assembly , I chose to replace both at the same time. Too much trouble to replace only one lamp and it also ensures you have equal brightness on both lamps.
