I followed the instructions under using the first time in the owners manual. The pot turned dark after following the procedure. Why? How can I return it to the stainless steel finish?

I bought this in the summer of 2021. It has worked great for canning green beans from my garden. I didn't want to spend a ton of money, but wanted something that was easy to use, safe and accurate. This canner meets all the criteria. I'm buying another one for my daughter for Christmas.

I was as excited as a child on Christmas morning couldn't wait. Doesn't get up to the pressure needed. I do not have gas stove. All my labor in vane. Sad. The company should definitely do something about it with so many complaints about this product. Mine wasn't cheap
Very disappointed

I love the pot but apparently I can’t use it. I have a glass top stove. The video for this pressure cooker shows the pot on a glass top stove. I finally splurged and bought it. I was looking forward to using it. So Disappointing.
Won't hold 10 pounds of pressure

Failed canner - 3 years ago

I bought this pressure cooker at the end of last year's canning season to use for the first time. Because it won't hold the pressure, all of the chili that I made suffered from siphoning. Made a huge mess inside of the pot... This season, I watched many videos to see what I did wrong... The bottom line is this unit just is garbage! Tried to can many pints of fresh sweet corn this season, and all of the water came out of the jars because I have to keep my gas range on high in order to get it to 10n pounds of pressure.. by the time you're food is halfway through the cycle, the unit runs out of steam. Total waste of money! And the instruction manual was worthless.

This canner did not gain any pressure whatsoever when I tried to use it. Hours on the stove at full heat and the pressure dial did not move once. So disappointing.

I use this not even one month after buying but then there just isn’t any pressure build-up! Pressure gauge is not even moving to the set PSI. I’ve checked and done troubleshooting, both from manuals and vlogs and so far all is good but still no pressure builds. Wasted my ingredients and effort.

LOVE IT! Works great right out of the box. Simple to use. Idiot proof. Great instructions. Way better than the antiquated styles. (What century is this now?) If worried about the accuracy of the gauges just be careful with the lid and buy a new one every few years. It's priced less than the competition so it pays for itself in a couple of uses. Are the nay sayers the ones hoarding all the wide mouth lids this year? lol. Happy canning.

Used the pressure canner 4 times and now it won't build pressure. It won't even pressurize enough to engage the lid lock. Garbage.

I had written a review back a few months ago when I was disappointed that after one use of the canner I was having to send it back to review issues. I’ve gotten word that the unit is fine. The issue seems to be misleading in print in their instructions, it doesn’t match up to with recipes they’ve approved, as well instructions that were emailed to me from T-fal. Weird. However, thank goodness for the gentleman I spoke to on the phone at T-fal, both of us were speaking sort of quickly, so I missed his name, but he was very knowledgeable so I appreciated that! He agreed the instructions were a little weird, and conflicting, but he went through every feature and explained exactly why they put what they did, and it made perfect sense. Thank goodness for great customer service employees and he was one of them! Anyway, I’m looking forward to getting my unit back. I attempted to adjust my original review from a 1 to a higher number but wasn’t able to , so I am leaving another review. Still not totally crazy about the website, it’s a little difficult navigating, and I wish there were more replacement parts, but at least they did attempt to manage the situation fairly, and covered the cost of the return. That was reassuring. I’m looking forward to canning again, and I know it’s been looked over so it will be able to be done safely! Thanks!

This is so bad thatI even bothered to find a place to war others to avoid it. It will NEVER reach 15 psi, the max it can do is 14. The gauge is misleading, as it goes to 30 psi, so I assumed it would be capable of doing 15psi.
Great kitchen tool

How many of the bad reviews were from people who did not use the instructions for their altitude?? It is a real thing. For people who can't comprehend: ONCE THE COOKING TIME IS OVER, TURN OFF THE HEAT SOURCE AND LET THE PRESSURE CANNER COOL DOWN. (That is when the pressure drops!!!!) Instructions are a good thing, people.
Good size, seems easy, either pressure gauge is wrong or valve faulty

I finally got around to using my pressure cooker/canner and I'm not particularly happy with the result. The basic operation is simple. I've used an Instant Pot for several years now, so twist the lid into place, the lid lock valve closes after enough steam builds, etc. However I was canning and I needed 10 pounds of pressure. According to the manual, that should have been "1" on the dial. "1" on the dial topped out at 5 pounds. "2" on the dial moved up to about 7 or 8 pounds. "3" on the dial took it to about 12 pounds which was more than I needed. I'm left wondering whether the valve (1/2/3) was misbehaving or whether the pressure gauge was incorrect. 10 pounds is kind of minimal, so if I need more, I'm out of luck. I don't know what I will do.
Why are you selling this pressure cooker if you can’t get replacement gas

Bought this a month ago and finally used it a week ago. Luckily I have a gas stove because to get 15 psi I had to set my stove to high and keep it on high the entire cook time. On setting #3, supposedly 15 psi, the valve started releasing steam at only 12 psi, which is why I had to raise the heat. But now I’m loosing steam needed for sterilizing. What a waste of money

I had to figure out on my own how to decompress the canner when doing my pinto beans [first use]. I had to step it down setting by setting to ensure no rapid decompression and breaking of my jars. They give you over 20 steps on how to use it but just a blurb on how to decompress it, but no details. Disappointing in that. Overall the canner worked great.

I purchased this 22 qt pressure canner/cooker to use for canning items out of my garden. I prepared 44 lbs of pumpkin to can, and couldn't get the pressure cooker to pressurize. No matter how high my stove was - turns out one thing that was failed to be mentioned is it is NOT compatible with my stove top type. I have a glass top electric stove - like most of the newer appliances. This item (per the book) will only work with a Gas or Electric Coil stovetop. Not only did I waste the money to purchase the item, I now have 44 lbs of pumpkin that cannot be sealed safely as I don't have another stove top option. Compatible heat sources should be in Large print on the item box or in the advertisement when searching for an item.
