What Joanna Gaines’ “Homebody” is to interior design, this book is to outdoor design. Gone are the days of wanting a trendy backyard, without quite knowing how to get there. I would say that I have a good “eye” for what looks good, but sometimes I know that something doesn’t look right, but I don’t have the know-how to fix it. This book gave me that knowledge! Beautiful pictures. Insightful text. (Yes, I actually did read it cover to cover. And no I have not watched a single episode of the show) But now I know how to make more purposeful design decisions for my backyard. In reading this book, I realized that you should actually mindfully set priorities for your backyard, and design around them! Absolutely adored this book, and will keep it on my bookshelf always.

The pictures are okay. It is really basic and wasn’t much help for ideas. We are putting in a patio and outdoor room and this was zero help with inspiration or ideas. I returned it.

Huge fans of their show on Bravo TV and I was blown away by the sheer beauty of this book. So much more than a coffee table book too!! Helpful tips and tricks for gardening and all things outdoor design!!! Can't recommend enough!
