Tastykake has baked iconic sweet treats for over 100 years, creating tasty cakes, muffins, donuts, pastries, pies and more. It all started with a young Philip Baur learning the sweet baking craft from his baker father. He learned to insist on great taste and good value. After his dad sold the family bakery, Philip and egg salesman Herbert Morris joined forces
to launch their own idea — individually wrapped snack cakes, delivered fresh daily — on February 25, 1914. And so began the iconic Tastykake story.

Drinking coffee without having a pack of these to go with it is almost a crime. I've had an impossible time ever finding these in North Carolina since I moved here in 1988 so every visit back home to PA I have to scour the grocery stores to grab what I can. I'll check the Product Locator here on the website - this is my first visit - to see if it can help me in my hunt for the magnificent Koffee Kakes. TastyKake is the premium snack cake company IMO, and I compare everyone else to them and the others always come up short or aren't even in the game at all. I enjoy most all of their products and if snack cakes are needed, TastyKake is my go-to brand almost every time.

The coffee cake cupcakes used to be my favorite snack. I’m not sure when it happened, but the quality of these cakes decreased dramatically. There are now very few sprinkles on the cupcake and the filling is no longer centered. The filling also seems to be a fraction of the amount of what it used to be. It seems like someone at the top was being greedy and began cutting corners. Every pack that I have seen in the last few years has been equally as disappointing. I will no longer be purchasing!

My wife and I used to love these but after this last box we won't be buying anymore. I don't know why companies have to change a good thing when they have one but like anything else, I guess greed. As soon as you put it up to your mouth you can smell the difference, then when you bite into it, it has a chemical taste. I guess you can change your name also from Tastykake to Crummykake.

Size of the cake has sufficiently decreased in size over the years. Crumbs are smaller on top. Cake tastes like the ingredients have changed if you have been eating tasty cakes for the past 20 years. Quality down prices up

Thank you so much for reaching out. We love what we do and are committed to staying as close to those very first Tastykake treats in taste, quality, and spirit as we can! We appreciate you sharing your opinion with us.

TastyKake, you should be ashamed and embarrassed to sell such abominations. These used to be delicious. I’m officially boycotting all of your products.

The cake part was dry. They are not cream filled. They have a dot of cream on top of them about as big as a dime. Was very disappointed!
Extremely disappointing

Once upon a time, these were actually cream-filled as the package photo shows. Now? There is a minimal squirt of cream on the outside, and eating one reminds me of trying to swallow a mouthful of sand (yes - they are that dry). Apparently TastyKake either performs no quality control or simply doesn’t care. Or maybe both. Regardless, both TastyKake and my love for this product are now dead to me. Shame on you TastyKake!

I recently bought the Koffee Kakes because I hadn’t had them in awhile. I was soooo disappointed in the quality of the Koffee Kakes. The cake was dry, there was barely any filling and the crumbles on top were sparse. I used to eat these years ago in my school lunch. The cakes were also noticeably smaller. Very poor quality overall. I would rather pay alittle more for a better product. This was very disappointing.

I bought this product because I love coffee cake and thought creme filling would make it even better, however I'll never know because out if the 2 boxes I purchased every single "cupcake" has had a single dot of creme on the top and exactly zero creme inside. Dry to the bone completely a waste, I only continued to eat them hoping maybe it was just a bad batch.
Good but could be better bigger

We travel to PA a few times a year and I always look forward to getting a package of these. The last few times I have bought them there has been NO filling inside. None. A dot on the top but absolutely nothing inside. I kept thinking I might be getting an “off” one each time but now after subsequent purchases, I will finally give up on these. Today was the last time I pay for these cakes advertised as “creme filled.”

Mom made us live in a budget growing up, so whenever we got these delicious little moist cakes, they were EVERYTHING! Here ut is 20 years later, my sister, on a whime of nostalgia, bought and shared these with my mother and I. ... All of us agree, they are not the same anymore. The creme filled center isn't as abundant as it once was, but something about the flavor is off and the cake isn't as tender as it once was, dare I say =DRY=. Expiration date is still weeks out, and very much "fresh." While I will always get these, they just aren't as good as they once were.
