Comfort: 3/5 Packaging: 1/5 Ease of assembly: 1/5 Smell: 0/5 My partner says “this bench is whack.” The bench from the top view looks fine but from the underside it’s terrible. The frame is half stained. There’s splotches of stains underneath the frame. When you open the package, it has small funny scent but as you’re building the scent gets stronger. It smells like wood stain or formaldehyde. We ended up having to wear our masks to finish building the bench. The packaging of the bench is the worst. One of my legs were chipped even though it was wrapped. But the most troublesome packaging was the bench itself. It was wrapped in plastic and the frame was drilled on top of the plastic. You either had to cut the plastic and then yank it under the frame or grab your drill and unscrew the frame to remove the plastic bag. Currently having regrets building the bench and not returning right away. Hopefully the smell goes away if not, we will have to disassemble and return the bench. TLDR: save your time, money, efforts, and nose. Don’t buy this bench.
