At this point, I have only just started the chapters on the actual training methods, the first half of the book discussed how to care of younger puppies and stories to better understand the importance of training.. i found it very interesting but glad to finally get to the part that will help my 5 mos old puppy. My only criticism is that I don't feel it addresses the situation of getting a puppy at 4 months instead of 2 months that well.. but I do have more to read.
Great Resource For All Dog Owners

This book was recommended by a breeder as a training guide for raising a puppy. I love the gentle, relationship-centered approach taken by the Monks of New Skeet toward raising a puppy to become a trusted companion and loyal family member. They have a deep knowledge base and understanding of social and physical attributes associated with responsible dog-ownership. Should be a must read for all dog owners!!!
