SATANIC SNAKE SCARED OUR SON SO MUCH HE STOPPED READING

1 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
PFFERNEUSE - 1 year ago
My son read every book with excitement until he got to the part about the snake becoming evil and the darkness. He said it was very scary and did not want to read anymore. He pointed to the creepy font words, the subtle cover with the horns (did not notice it before) and the whole section about the snake keeping to himself in a room for a long time (a year I think) becoming more evil with voices from above speaking to him. Stuff about serpents and ruling the earth and people, and staying away from your friends to gain power or something like that. The thing is, we don't talk to my son about things like this, and frankly, I think for an 8 yr old it was too much. He was so upset about it, he kept talking about it all night, into bedtime and the following day.

My son loves this series and the newest chapter did not disappoint. He reads through them fairly quickly, but wnjoys rereading them, so for us it’s totally worth the purchase.
