This book cover is adorable and the story seemed promising, but I could not finish this book for the life of me. It started to feel like a chore and was making despise reading. I probably sound a bit dramatic, but I was concerned my love for reading was fading. As soon as I officially dropped this book after a few attempts, I now understand it wasn’t me. I don’t find any of these characters appealing. And the fact that the bookshop owner doesn’t hire women because they fall in love with him…how cringe.
