About the Book
If there is one essential characteristic this generation of children needs, it's boldness. In this magically illustrated picture book, author Adam Griffin follows the theme of boldness throughout Jesus's life, starting when he was just a boy. Jesus boldly proclaimed God's Word, He showed kindness to the underserved and abused, and He even gave His life so we would have the opportunity to be bold with Him.Book Synopsis
If there is one essential characteristic this generation of children needs, it's boldness. More and more, kids will be seen as odd, weird, or strange if they choose to follow Jesus. However, this is not the first time in history that boldness has been required to serve God. After all, a young boy in first-century Nazareth perfectly displayed boldness: Jesus Christ Himself.
In The Boy Who Was Bold, author Adam Griffin follows the theme of boldness throughout Jesus's life and ministry. When twelve-year-old Jesus stood in the temple and taught God's Word from scrolls, He started a domino effect of boldness that we read about throughout the Gospels. Jesus boldly proclaimed God's Word and demonstrated kindness to the underserved and abused. He even boldly gave His life so we would have the opportunity to be bold with Him. In thirty-two magically illustrated pages, The Boy Who Was Bold tells and shows kids what Jesus's boldness might have looked like so they can choose boldness in their own lives. Readers ages 4-8 will find the beauty in godly oddness and be empowered to follow Jesus courageously.Review Quotes
The Boy Who Was Bold offers kids a fun and insightful look into the young life of Jesus! Young hearts and minds will see themselves in a boy who could have tried to fit in, but because of his heavenly mission, didn't. This took bravery and boldness! And this book invites your young ones to live bravely on mission for Jesus right where they find themselves today.
- Amy Gannett, founder of Tiny TheologiansAs a mom raising three kids, this book has a message I long for them to understand at a young age. In a world that values popularity and acceptance, Adam Griffin has written a book to help parents raise children who love Jesus and are bold and brave for him, no matter the cost. - Laura Wifler, author, podcaster, and co-founder of Risen Motherhood
All too often we underestimate kids or view them as accessories to their parents, the "real do-ers". It's encouraging to see a book that offers a different view to kids of how they can make an impact right where they're at. Rooted in Jesus--who was bold when we couldn't be--and in the hope of the Gospel story laid out in Scripture, The Boy Who Was Bold rightly raises the bar for our kids. May they shine like stars as they point to Christ! - Sean Hill, Watermark Kids Director, Watermark Community Church
"In a culture where children grow up more confused than ever about what it means to be strong and courageous, this little book packs a clear and powerful punch. If it is true that 'evil is powerless, when the good are unafraid, ' then I hope every young person gets their hands on this primer for how to be bold--like the Lion of the tribe of Judah." -Kirk Cameron
