Great book so life like lol I love this book

Couldn’t put the book down !!!

The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden is a thriller that offers a tale of obsession, pain, fear and betrayal. The story revolves around Syd in present day but takes us on a gripping journey back to the past of another equally important character named Tom. First we meet Tom in his adolescent years where love and medical school are the only things he desires/ thinks about in this life. The current day story starts with Sid who’s on a date from hell and is like an episode from a true crime show. From there it quickly delves into a murder mystery where your suspicions run wild and you can't trust anyone. Syd goes through grief and surviving life in your 30s while the search for a serial killer is underway. Who will it be? This story will keep you guessing and trusting no one! I had lingering questions and puzzle pieces floating around in my mind that all came into place and went together even better than what I had thought it would. It was a thrilling read and a satisfying blend of everything. She is able to manipulate readers in believing they have it solved but they don’t. Still not sure how to feel about the ending but it was definitely a great read.

This book constantly keeps you guessing and on your toes. You think you figured things out then you get hit with twist after twist. It's very fast paced and hard to put down. I need to read something soft to get over this one. Hang in there and read until the end. It's worth it.

I love it. Currently reading it. If you like flashbacks in a thriller/ suspense book you’ll enjoy it this one.

I really enjoyed this book, but I couldn’t give it 5 stars. The slow start almost lost me, but midway through, it became much more engaging. The twist at the end was fantastic and made the book worth it.

Too much blood and too many characters in The Boyfriend. I have read many of Freida McFadden's books. And highly recommend: The Teacher and The Inmate. JG

Super disappointing not worth the preorder. I love all of Frieda’s books and although it was well written it was slow with only one small twist at the end. Would not recommend.

The Boyfriend is a great mystery suspense book. It has mystery, suspense, friendships, and romance. It is a fast paced read and It keeps you guessing until the very end. I read it in two days. It had a lot of surprising and shocking twist in it too. It is my third book of Freida McFadden’s I have read so far and I am looking forward to reading more of her books.
