This product is AMAZING! Great hold and the shine is absolutely stunning. I’ve had people ask if my hair was wet and it’s been over a week.

Finally a product with some hold!!! I have biracial hair and nothing holds my hair for longer than 3 days! I used this with chief rocka and my hair lasted for more than a week. I am very pleased with this product! I am about to order more! People at work have been asking me what I’m using! Although I’d like to gatekeep I definitely tell them bananas extreme hold! Lol

I bought this product yesterday for the 1st time. I was looking for a replacement to my tried & true Biolage Gelee. Smelled the product (yum!), read the description (OK!) & nervously checked out. Hoping beyond hope it would work the way it said it would (having been fooled by other products before). I AM BLOWN AWAY. Looks like THIS may just be my Holy Grail hair product going forward. Smells good & has incredible hold. I usually pair a Gel with mousse, hit it up with hairspray & diffuse. It did not disappoint. I am more used to a slicker type product, it was a bit thicker & "sticky" but still did an incredible job. I just have to get past the product texture I am normally used to. Incredible job formulating it & so very happy I stumbled upon it. Will be buying in the future!

The Doux is a winner! The Banana Extreme Gel forms the best creamy curls! The hold is outstanding as the, "cast" will keep you in place for more than seven days unless you are in the gym daily. This gel is your defense for high humidity days. Standing alone, or use with Chief Rocka, your hair will glisten with amazing sheen. This product stays stocked in my cabinet. Well done!

I love this gel. It doesn’t leave any flakes. The fragrance is wonderful. The hold is amazing. My curls stay defined for days. The only downside is the bottle. It’s hard to squeeze especially when you’re constantly wetting your hair and using other products beforehand. I think a pump would be nice. If not that, then a wide mouth container.

I think I could have used less because my hair is crispy hard. However, I think it will hold several days and as I have type 4C hair, I need a hard hold to prevent wearing a full afro. I was getting a pretty good hold with the pop lock, but this is actually producing definition as well, which I prefer. The downside is, it smells like laundry detergent or dish soap. It also does not come with a pump. Reviews warned me of this, but I literally had to dump the product on a paper plate and scoop it up from there. I'd rather they sold the product in a tub like the Bee girl custard. This product is similar in texture to that only not quite as eggy, if you understand that. I really love most of The Doux products and haven't found anything better for styling type 4 hair. If they put a pump in this or put it in a tub and fix the smell, this will be my new favorite.

I used this 10, ten, TEN days ago and it is still going strong! It has lasted through several work outs where my scalp is soaked but the curls are unbothered. I normally wash my hair weekly but decided to push it a bit to see how long this lasts. And, I will also add, I have not had to spritz or rewet my hair in all this time. At night I sleep with a silk cap, shake it out in the morning and go about my day. All of these products have been the best thing to happen to my hair, now I love my curls.

I like it but it’s not Bee Girl! The definition is not there in the roots and I tried it twice. I had to get some bee girl for my roots. It does give a nice hold but not like BG. Bananas gives you like the day 2 look on day 1. I would recommend if you want volume faster with a stronger hold than mousse. No flaking. Needs better bottle either a jar or pump. Smells good

I got this a few days ago and I used it last night. Great gel!! It exceeded my expectations because I’m a faiths Bee Girl user. I got great definition and my hair feels moisturized. The ONLY reason I didn’t give it a 5 is due to the bottle. It is extremely hard to squeeze the product out with wet slippery hands. It would do better with a pump, in a jar, or with a bottle that is not so hard to squeeze with 1 hand.

I have every other doux product and I am loyal to the brand. I have well over 100 different hair products and THISSSSSSSSS GEL Is hands down the best one product styler ever. I could cry how amazing it is. My confidence about my curls skyrockets when this is in my hair. THANK YOU!!!!

Great hold, defined sexy curls, moisture maxed out and no frizz…..what else can I ask for.

I love it! Used it twice since finding it. My hair last a good 7/8 days before I would need to do it and even then I can stretch it. This gel is beyond okay with me!

In the picture, the product has a pump. The item shipped to me with a flip cap and no pump. It’s impossible to use it that way. I’m returning it.

I really love the doux products. BUTTTTTT THIS ONE RIGHT HERE!!!!! They cracked the code! This is the best gel I’ve ever used! The hold is crazy. But a crunch that can be broken but baby the hold still remains!!! It also gives some stretch to your curls! Also it ages amazingly! Y’all did that! Oh and it’s a light banana smell. But if you don’t like bananas the smell fades after it dries! 10 outta 10 recommend!

I absolutely LOVE this gel! I've used it for a slick back ponytail and was able to rock it for three days. I love how it defines my curls even in a ponytail. I threw away my eco style gel, Bananas will be the only gel in my product self

My results after two uses has been great! This gel is perfect for me, especially since my preferred style of choice is the WnG. But, in order for this gel to work, application is key and it must be applied on SOAKING WET HAIR, from “skin to ends” as Maya, The Doux CEO would say. If used correctly you will get the hold, definition, and volume. Even stretching with heat once 100% dry has yielded good results. Next up I will try a slick-back ponytail.
