My favorite cookbook! This book changed my life but I almost returned it when I first got it because I was initially overwhelmed and didn’t think I would make many of the recipes. I’m so glad I gave it a serious go! I make my own cheeses, meats, milk, butter and condiments now! And I’m saving lots of money (after an initial investment in a few tools and ingredients). I’m also using less plastic (no more ketchup and dressing bottles). Every recipe I’ve tried turned out great or can be easily adjusted to my needs. My favorites are the pepperoni, chicken nuggets, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, caesar and ranch dressings, and butter! Some recipes are almost like science projects and take several days to make. If you’re looking to make your own vegan pantry staples and cut down on your environmental impact and save some money in the long run, definitely buy this book, there isn’t another like it.
