I originally didn’t care for this shampoo and conditioner. I don’t think I have a good chance and had also already fried my hair with other products. I continued to use it because it wasn’t causing flare ups with my skin, though. So glad I did. It is a little pricey, in my opinion. But it works. I can not use shampoo with cocomidopropyl betaine in it, it causes my skin to go crazy and blister and itch. This is the only shampoo that I’ve recently found that doesn’t contain that ingredient and a few others that I can’t seem to handle (itchy Ms and dimethicone) and I am sooo appreciative. I hope they never stop making it!! Sometimes I need to do a little bit of an oil treatment when my hair is a little dried out, and sometimes I need to break down and use a clarifying shampoo (which usually has the annoying ingredients), but day to day, week to week, this is my go-to.

Shampoo is not just for babies. I am a middle-aged adult and use this shampoo daily because I have sensitive skin prone to rosacea. The honest products I use such as this shampoo has helped keep it under control.

This product is hydrating and gentle on the scalp. Not irritating or burning. Doesn't cause itching. However, it is a little too gentle, as using the whole bottle, I need something stronger to give me a deeper cleanse. It was working well for a while.

My hair liked it, my skin and scalp did not. I have to avoid all fragrance and for some reason I reacted to this fragrance free shampoo and the fragrance free conditioner. My scalp became extremely itchy and my hands began breaking out in insanely itchy red bumps. It is quite expensive as well so long term use probably wouldn’t be realistic for someone with medium to long hair like myself. I had to use quite a bit. A little does not go a long way unfortunately. Had to return both the shampoo and conditioner. I switched to another fragrance free brand that I found and scalp itching was gone and rash on hands was gone after two days so thankfully I didn’t have to suffer for too long.

I have used many hair (shampoo) products but after continued use, I seem to develop a reaction to the formula. I have found that Honest IS the only product that I have NOT developed a reaction to. Honest is clean and it's gentle.

We use this soap everyday for both my sensitive skin having kiddos. I had no idea there were refill bottles until I happened to read the back of our normal bottle one night during bath time. Game changer! The refills are a great step towards a more eco-friendly, cost effective option.

It’s not the best. Although it doesn’t flare my eczema unlike many other shampoos, it leaves my hair very greasy and causes it to fall out. Won’t be buying again.

My 70th birthday is approaching. As I age, my skin is more sensitive and I really appreciate the Honest Company's products. They are nourishing, cleansing and soothing. I use the shampoo and body wash for, well, both! I am so grateful for such a clean, non-irritating product.

I bought this as my little guy has fairly sensitive skin and I was happy this was hypoallergenic. We tried it for the first time tonight and some got in his eye - he was hysterically crying and his eyelid immediately swole :( we flushed it out and in about 15 minutes he was back to normal. I felt so horrible as a new mom… I’m not sure how “tear free” this stuff really is.

I have been looking for natural hair care for a while now and this is literally the only detergent-based shampoo (i.e., not the more natural oil-reacted-with-lye soap, which I love but which is not practical in hard water California) that I can handle without my scalp feeling parched dry. I love the consistency (not too thick, not too thin) and the scent is so nice and gentle, so evidently natural! Also, the quality is consistent across scents. I have tried both lavender and citrus and have not found a noticeable difference in quality or feel. A+, Honest Company, and thank you for making a superb product!
