First of all, we don’t use this as a shampoo for our son; however, he has a very finicky eczema and it’s a phenomenal body wash. He can’t use heavy moisturizing products and creams, but his skin still needs hydration. This doesn’t dry or strip his skin, but still leaves him smelling clean and doesn’t burn or irritate his skin (can’t be said of some of the eczema specific products out there).

Used this on my 5 month old, and a small amount accidentally washed into her eye. She immediately started screaming and crying. I put some in my own eye to see what was going on, and it immediately started burning! An hour later it’s still burning and my eye is red and swollen. Poor baby must have been in so much pain. I do not recommend, it is not tear free!

I couldn't get this to lather well and it didn't feel like it was getting my scalp and hair clean. Sadly, it just didn't feel like it worked as well as my other "mainstream" brand of shampoo.

I originally didn’t care for this shampoo and conditioner. I don’t think I have a good chance and had also already fried my hair with other products. I continued to use it because it wasn’t causing flare ups with my skin, though. So glad I did. It is a little pricey, in my opinion. But it works. I can not use shampoo with cocomidopropyl betaine in it, it causes my skin to go crazy and blister and itch. This is the only shampoo that I’ve recently found that doesn’t contain that ingredient and a few others that I can’t seem to handle (itchy Ms and dimethicone) and I am sooo appreciative. I hope they never stop making it!! Sometimes I need to do a little bit of an oil treatment when my hair is a little dried out, and sometimes I need to break down and use a clarifying shampoo (which usually has the annoying ingredients), but day to day, week to week, this is my go-to.

This product is hydrating and gentle on the scalp. Not irritating or burning. Doesn't cause itching. However, it is a little too gentle, as using the whole bottle, I need something stronger to give me a deeper cleanse. It was working well for a while.

My hair liked it, my skin and scalp did not. I have to avoid all fragrance and for some reason I reacted to this fragrance free shampoo and the fragrance free conditioner. My scalp became extremely itchy and my hands began breaking out in insanely itchy red bumps. It is quite expensive as well so long term use probably wouldn’t be realistic for someone with medium to long hair like myself. I had to use quite a bit. A little does not go a long way unfortunately. Had to return both the shampoo and conditioner. I switched to another fragrance free brand that I found and scalp itching was gone and rash on hands was gone after two days so thankfully I didn’t have to suffer for too long.

I have used many hair (shampoo) products but after continued use, I seem to develop a reaction to the formula. I have found that Honest IS the only product that I have NOT developed a reaction to. Honest is clean and it's gentle.
