I purchased this set of dishware because they do not limit what I can have on my plate. Most plates have an indentation with an outside rim. That doesn't work for me. These plates are smooth with just a slight rise to the edge of the plate. I no longer have food falling off the plate because it didn't fit in the indentation. I like these plates, and Lakeside is the only company that had them.

Nice addition and great to leave out as a decor piece. Only downside is melamine can not go in microwave. Not a deal breaker.

Exactly what I wanted, but… when you look at the dishes in the light there are several bubbles on the surface of the dish. I’m worried after washing, they might fall apart.

im obsessed with these plates! i bought 2 sets so i can have a place setting for 8 when i host dinners,. looks so high end!
