Oh my gosh, I can't believe the negative comments! I purchased my set of black Stovetop Protectors at least 7 years ago, and I still think they're the best thing since sliced bread! This product must be customized by each customer to fit his or her unique stove model. This is NOT a one-size-fits-all product. The protectors are thin, flame resistant, and easy to clean in two minutes with soap, water, and a sponge. Be PATIENT when trimming your protectors, making sure to leave a clear margin between the protector and the highest level of flame from each burner. Trim the protectors so they lay flat for optimal use. If you have a small stove like mine, you'll have to do a lot of trimming. Just trim each protector a little at a time so that even if you do make a mistake, it will not destroy the effectiveness of the protector. Yes, they are harder to cut than a piece of paper, because they are flame resistant - paper is not. You're still going to have to clean your stovetop, but having these protectors in place makes it a whole lot easier and time consuming. In fact, I'm going to buy another set just to have on hand as my stove may have to be replaced soon and the protectors I'm using now may not fix my next stovetop. I don't want to be without my stovetop protectors when the time comes. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Disappointed in this item. Just did not work for my stove. Even cut, would not stay put.

These protectors are too thin and impossible to cut to look good on your stove. It's impossible to cut them precisely (believe me I tried). Just crappy. I threw them away. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

I bought these after reading the reviews and should have listened! The concept is good, but these are very poor quality and having to trim them so the flame doesn't touch the protector defeats the purpose of what they are for! I trimmed mine back quite a bit and the ring closest to the flame still wrinkled and melted. I would not trust that these are safe to use. I didn't bother to trim the rest or even ask for a refund. I've already spent enough time and effort seeing if they would work. *I do need to mention that my gas stove has very low profile burners and perhaps it will work on others. The pictures in the catalog show the film way closer to the burners than the instructions indicate.

Once they are trimmed to suit each burner, there's barely any material left to pretext the stove top.

Bought a few months ago and found it was easier to just clean the stove top. They are flimsy and move around to much for cleaning

These "protectors" are so thin, I was afraid that they would melt on my stove should I have actually used them. They are basically very, very thin sheets of a mylar-type plastic that are most definitely not worth the price asked!

I thought they would be thicker. It is like putting paper down. You can’t clean them without taking out. Very disappointed.

My reason for being disappointed is that the protectors DID NOT fit my gas stove. They were too small. We decided we'd try them in our RV and see if we can make them work there.

I am very disappointed with this product I had to try twice to purchase. It’s very cheap quality and I’m unable to use it on my gas stove.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews because I would not have bought these. Very thin cheap plastic, absolutely awful.

I love them so much. They make my stove look brilliant. Plus the clean up is a breeze.i will be purchasing more of them soon.thank u women's within so much.

These are paper thin not sure how well they will work. Disappointed can’t really use them again if the get a lot splattered on them.

I bought this a few weeks ago and not happy with the product

I put these in the trash. Did not fit well and was worried about them catching fire. I love other things I bought though.

I bought this item and although received it quickly was not what I thought it was. The material was not what I expected. Also did not feel safe using them. I threw them out

This is second time I've bought this item. The new ones are more flimsy and don't seem as dorable. They will do. The older ones were much better.

I cut these to fit my stove and the instructions said they can’t be touched by the flame but then they didn’t cover very good to keep it clean. I won’t be using these.
