My husband loves mashed potatoes & the pot was always boiling over & making a mess! Not with this, it’s great for keeping the water contained, no more boil overs! Not sure how some of these reviews say it doesn’t work, maybe they r using it incorrectly??

I'm 76 years old, & we all need to admit that we often get distracted while cooking (my dogs barking, the phone ringing, looking for an ingredient you need for your creation)! It also takes time to clean up a boil-over mess on any stove! This has really helped me a bunch by really doing the job as advertised!

We're always having pots boil over, I thought this would be a great item to try & keep that from happening, well, it does not work! My pot boiled over regardless! It's very heavy & floppy as well, which is good to fit different pot sizes but I ended up spending money for something that doesn't work & will be charged if I return. :(

Large size, heavy weight. I'm not understanding the usage instructions very well though, it'd be nice if the instructions included some drawings or photos so I can better understand how to use this device. Definitely need it b/c I'm tired of having my pots boil-over & no way to prevent it. I guess it'll be trial & error.

This would work great for big pots or pans, but for a standard 5qt pot for boiling eggs or pasta, this is too big.

I have been using this for over a year and it works perfectly EVERY time. I do not understand the bad reviews where it spills out. Must be user error. This works like a charm and keeps my stove clean. I put it on and can walk away with out worry of having to scrub my stovetop clean from spillover. If you need to test the pasta you simply need to move the pan OFF the heat for a second to test and then place it back on otherwise it will spill on the stove. I am buying my second one now as a gift as my friend loved mine and wanted one herself. Definitely worth the buy!

I have always had trouble with boil overs and now that I have a glass top stove I have to watch it like a hawk because burnt ons are really hard to scrub off. But this nifty safeguard works like magic...not even a drop onto the top...it's amazing!
