Description
Book Synopsis
This book is a desk reference for licensing professionals and a single source of relevant information needed to master the art of licensing. The first part of the book is a glossary of all terms used in the industry, i.e., " The Language of Licensing." Since licensing territories and channels of distribution frequently form part of most license agreements, the second section of the book includes detailed lists and checklists of territories and distribution channels that the reader can use. There is royalty rate information for different product categories and property types. There is information on Licensing International's Global Licensing Survey, lists of the leading licensors and licensing agents, and lists of the various licensing organizations, governmental agencies, licensing publications, and trade shows and events. Additionally, a reference guide would not be complete without including some of the most commonly used forms in licensing, e.g., a licensee application, deal memo, patent and merchandising license agreement, a licensing agent/representative agreement and a mutual NDA.About the Author
