She invites readers to put meaningful objects into their home's prominent spaces, to switch out designs and decor each season, to incorporate physical and visual textures into their designs, to strive for rooms that delight the senses and inspire people to gather together, to try different paint colors, and to recruit a small team to help with big decisions. Marker says that following her advice leads to a home that brings comfort and joy to its occupants. The book's remarkable number of photographs show the (rather large) homes of some of Marker's clients.
