The Peanutshell Soft Cloth Busy Book, Interactive Learning Activity Book for Toddlers

Really love this activity book. I don’t think it’s as travel friendly as I anticipated due to the removable pieces. None of the pieces are attached to the book and my daughter lost them in her car seat within 10 minutes of playing. It’s great when I’m able to do the activities with her but not as “independent” as I had imagined. Not the fault of the product as that is clearly described.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both my toddler and my one year old get great use out of this book. Plenty of activities to enjoy. I use it mostly for car rides and I'd say it keeps the kids busy for at least 30 minutes. Though I keep finding the little apples in random locations around my house, lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This book has been wonderful for my toddler daughter who has down syndrome. Her occupational therapist agrees! And, of course, this book would be wonderful for any other child too. Some of the activities are easier & a couple are more advanced, which is good, because it provides a challenge. The only thing I would change is the order of the pages. When you first open it up it has some ribbons on the first page that tend to get stuck on the velcro that's on the page facing it. So one of the ribbons has frayed. It does have some small pieces that are easy to lose, but it comes with a mesh carrying bag to help everything stay together. I think this book is almost perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this book has great intentions, is a great 1.0 version, but needs some improvement. The book fabric and activity pages are very well make. It definitely doesn't feel cheap. The size in great for a toddler, and the handles are large and puffy. But I feel like the age of the activities are very inconsistent- some stuff are geared more towards an older toddler/little kid and other pages are geared more towards an older baby/new toddler. For example, my almost 4 year old uses this book. The first page with all the ribbons and a zipper she breezes past, and same with the feely owl. I feel like the feely pages are more for a 1-1.5 year old (or younger). And the page with the car- the road should have had a few different connecting roads so that they can decide which way to go. Following the same path over and over is a bit too mundane and lacks creativity. But then there is the clock, lacing string, a buckle and button, and number recognition- things that are geared for an older toddler/little kid. So I feel like half the book is geared for my 4 yr old and the other half for a 1-2 yr old. I would rather see them make 2 different books - one for an older toddler and one for a younger toddler/older baby with different age-appropriate (or skill-appropriate) activities in each- one easier, one more challenging. Additionally, I had to snip the corners of all the velcro pieces within the book because the corners were very sharp. They should have used round velcro pieces instead of square. Because if I found them sharp, I'm sure a kid would, too. Plus, every time we close and open the book, the yellow ribbon on the first page gets stuck to the velcro piece on the dinosaur on the opposing page, causing the material to pull and ruin. I feel like that is a user-testing detail that they should have been able to figure out prior to production, but also something easily rectified. Lastly, I find the velcro closure on the backside of the book a bit weird, because I would expect it on the front, but that I can overlook.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This book is great for learning and using fine motor skills. It’s a soft book so if they throw or drop there is no damage to anything. Inside are different things the kids can do such as tie, zip, snap, Velcro, count and button. All things kids need to learn how to do. The only negative, is that the smaller felt material numbers that are velcro’d on that are used for counting fell off easily and eventually were lost after a short period of use. My 18 month old wasn’t as engaged to want to play with this frequently but my 8 year old loved using it! I think my little one will have more interest around the 24 mth age.

It has many interactive activities which has kept my 1 year old grandson entertained for long periods of time. This is the perfect learning starter book. I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Peanut Shell Quiet Busy Book for my 1 year old and he absolutely loves it. It is great for places that he has to be quiet and also perfect to keep him busy in the car while going on long trips. It’s my little one’s favorite thing right now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a great busy book! It’s so cute and has so many cute pages for your kiddos to play with. My 1 & 2 year old love this book! They take it in the car and run around playing with it in the house. It truly is such a great quality book! I will be purchasing more Peanutshell products!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with this book. Not only does it encourage small motor development, it familiarizes kids with shapes, colors, and numbers. There are 10 different activities and all 10 encourage toddlers to explore with their hands and mind. The pieces are easily moved by toddler hands. I really appreciate that it is washable; the included mesh bag is a must not only for laundering but for ensuring all of the tiny pieces stay with the book. I only have two small cons: 1) The pieces ARE small. They can easily get lost. 2)The felt pieces that stick to the velcro do not stick very well. All in all I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves his quiet busy book from the peanutshell. The book is so soft to touch. I love the soft colors used throughout it so little ones don't get overwhelmed. There are so many fun motor skills to learn within it.

I especially love it for travel as it is cloth so I don’t worry about it being a projectile if we ever had to stop fast for any reason. The activities are diverse and well put together. The graphics are cute and appealing. I will say my older 3-year old blazed through it very fast, so I would say it would be better suited for a middle 1-year old to young 3-year old. There was one area where the ribbon was snagged, but other than that great, quality product for engaging your little ones.

We use it a lot in the car or traveling, but can also be used at home. Another huge win is that it's not a bunch of loose pieces that end up all over or getting lost. A+.

Its features include a zipper, buckle, button, counting, line tracing- it’s the best. From now on I will be giving this as a first birthday present for all the kiddos in my life.

It’s our go-to book we keep in the diaper bag to pull out while waiting somewhere or riding in the car if he starts to get restless. It’s light weight and packs easy so it’s perfect for on the go. Great quality and love that it’s fabric so it washes easily if it gets dirty which is easy to do while out and about.
