Book Synopsis
The New York Times bestselling series continues with a thrilling revelation -- brand-new tribes of dragons! Some secrets are deadly. It's no secret that Sundew wants to destroy the HiveWings. It's her life's mission to exact revenge on the tribe that tried to wipe out the LeafWings and ripped every tree from the surface of Pantala.Every tree, that is, except the wild and dangerous Poison Jungle, where the surviving LeafWings have been hiding since the war. Hiding, plotting, and waiting for a dragon like Sundew, who is uniquely qualified to bring down the Hives. There are dark secrets in the jungle, though -- some that Sundew is keeping, and some that she's only just beginning to discover. And now that a new war is upon them, Sundew and her friends must unearth the oldest secret in the jungle -- even if what they find has the power to destroy them all.Review Quotes

For context, I am a 17 year old bisexual female. I have been reading Wings of Fire since I was 14. I stopped reading at book 11 three years ago because the main character was super boring. Picked it back up at book 12 after my 10 year old cousin said that book 13 was AMAZING and it is. This is easily my favorite book in the series, it has gay dragons, good romance, an actual good love interest, and a semi-exciting plot. Where this book shines is the romance compared to the other books in this series, Sundew and Willow are made for eachother. Also, people saying the main audience is too young for this book, my cousin was ten when she read this, she is completely fine, also go read Legends: Darkstalker. This book is safe for young children and the romance is adorable. Also, Willow is my new favorite character.

This book took a different direction with its characters and now has 2 female dragons in a relationship, 2 male dragons in a relationship and a human that identifies as a “they”.
