Blended for taste and unrestricted by tradition, The Prisoner Carneros Chardonnay white wine is full-bodied, balanced, and rich on the palate. Crafted in the same iconic style as The Prisoner Red Blend, it is a bold and fruit-forward white wine made from Chardonnay, Roussanne, and Gewürztraminer grapes harvested in the Carneros region of California. The wine was then barrel aged for 10 months in a combination of old and new French oak, contributing notes of butterscotch and vanilla and a full, smooth mouthfeel. This California Chardonnay bursts with bright aromas of vanilla, crème brûlée, and baked apple, each sip unveiling balanced acidity and notes of pineapple and toasted oak. This is a great Chardonnay. It’s full bodied and slightly fruit forward. Nice buttery notes. I really enjoy drinking this wine! Can’t go wrong with it.

A really nice drink for a decent price. Not a super cheap bottle like I'm used to, but well worth the money! I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and my friends really enjoyed it for our get together. Would recommend it to those who want a slightly nicer wine.

I love Chardonnay and this was good. Not my favorite, but would reach for it again. I prefer an oakey taste and this wasn’t as full bodied as I would like, but it was still good.

One of my favorite Chardonnays , you can pair with food and or by itself on any occasion, there are some aromas like candy and pear , medium to full body with oak and fruit tastes but most of all I love the smooth finish ..cheers to some more Chardonnay

I’m actually pretty picky when it comes to wines, I’ve had wine all over the world, and usually go to the wine festival in Germany every year, it’s the biggest wine festival in the world, and I actually really like this company and this is a good Chardonnay

While the prisoner Chardonnay is in the same price category as a bottle of Rombauer, I don’t find this bottle to be stellar enough to justify the price tag OK.
