About this item
Description
When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds...need I say more? This duo has chemistry that leaps off the screen. Looking for a feel good rom com? Look no more. This is it. Enemies to lovers at its finest!

Beautiful. Excellent movie, but it is PG13 (and a quick nudity scene where you see just the sides of people for a quick moment.) Well-cast and well -written. And priced fairly at Target. I wondered how my DVD order would come from Target. And better service/ packing than most bookstores. We recommend. Target is now my go-to for books and movies.

I love this movie because it makes me laugh. A couple of the scenes with Sandra Bullock and Betty White are hilarious. I watched it in the theatre with my daughter and son-in-law, with my husband at home, then again at home with my son and daughter-in-law; I laughed every time. It's just a movie, not life changing, or educational just brainless relaxation.
Well Acted by Ryan Reynolds

Probably the best romantic comedy in years, somewhat surprising with the washed up Sandra Bullock and the director of the misguided 27 dresses which was excruciating to watch and fast forward. Ryan Reynolds gives his best performance to date and establishes him at the level of Cary Grant. He's funny, in character and has good business (acting wise). And it helps that he is a very good looking guy, the camera loves him, so to speak. Mrs. Bullocks is hapless but pulls out her old Miss Congeniality tricks to at least ignite chemistry with Mr. Reynolds. The movie feels at times that Reynolds does what he does to make his on and off real wife Scarlett Johanson jealous, but it works. Won't say anything about the plot but it's enjoyable.
