About the Book
This book is a manual for becoming the kind of man God intends for you to be, and leading other men to do the same.Book Synopsis
Everything in a man's life hinges on the kind of man he is. Yet, none of us is naturally a godly man. That's something we have to learn, pursue, and cultivate. We need a manual to help us. This book is a manual for becoming the kind of man God intends for you to be, and leading other men to do the same. Taking ten qualities from the Apostle Paul's short letter to his mentee Titus, The Titus Ten will help you grow in your understanding of the gospel, your identity, your character, your doctrine, and more. Each chapter includes questions for reflection and discussion, to both process the way the Lord is growing you, and read in a group with other men. As you grow in these areas of your life, you'll become the kind of man God desires to use in your family, your church, and the world.Review Quotes
"Our world is in desperate need of faithful, courageous, and godly men. The Titus Ten was written to help raise them up. I highly recommend this book by my pastor, Josh Smith."
-Mark Richt, Former Head Football Coach for the University of Georgia and the University of Miami.
-Donna Gaines, Pastor's Wife, Bible Teacher and Author, Founder and President of the Board for ARISE2Read "I absolutely love The Titus Ten - what a helpful resource for pastors and ministry leaders as they strategically plan to reach one of the most underutilized groups in the world - the men of the local church. Pastor Josh Smith has been a close friend for many years. I know who he is and how he lives as a man, husband, and father. The Titus Ten will be a great investment for all of us."
-Jeremy Morton, Lead Pastor, First Baptist Church, Woodstock, GA "How amazing...when I led a disciple-making group for high school students some thirty years ago, who would have thought that one of those young disciples would write The Titus Ten! Josh Smith has traveled on mission trips with me, spent two years in Slovakia with my ministry, and now he is my pastor. We still meet regularly for "mentoring input." From those early disciple-making seeds planted, The Titus Ten has emerged as an excellent disciple-making guide. With The Titus Ten you can actually DO what Jesus commanded--and churches often miss--"make disciples of all nations." It offers an excellent and compelling launching pad for your ministry to make and multiply disciples!"
-Dr. Barry St. Clair, Global Vice-President, East-West Ministries "Our homes, churches, and communities are in dire need of godly men. Whether you are a Pastor investing in men, or simply a man wanting to grow in Christ, The Titus Ten is a book that can transform your life and church. Pastor Josh personally invested these same lessons in my own life. This resource has had a deeply impactful effect on me, helping to prepare me for leadership in the home, church, and community. Highly recommended!"
-Rickey Primrose, Lead Pastor, MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church, Irving Texas "Josh Smith combines a clear love for God's Word and God's people with a delightful writing style full of helpful anecdotes to give a clear pathway to developing godly men based on the timeless truths of the Book of Titus. Pastors who want to grow men in their churches to fulfill God's pattern of maturity will be blessed by this book. And any man who reads The Titus Ten, whether in church leadership or not, will be fed and motivated to grow in Christ."
-Andrew M. Davis, Pastor, First Baptist Church, Durham North Carolina and visiting professor of church history at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
