Q: Are these made by Akron because the TheraTears we had in our cabinet were and ALL of their products have been recalled.

Eye drops drain through my tear ducts into my throat, at which point I can sometimes taste them. These taste bad. Should have thought of that before buying them. There's a big list of chemicals in the ingredients list, some of which must cause the bad taste.

It's been years since I've used these but I like what I've read so far about them. I'm writing the review to clarify that they are not preservative free as another reviewer thought. Sodium chlorite is a preservative. Most often, preservative-free eyedrops need to come in the single use vials. There are now some new multi use containers designed with extra protection in the bottle, maybe of a one-way flow valve, to keep the contents sterile but most multi use bottles require preservative.

I have been dealing with super dry eyes every night due to contacts. After even using medicated eyedrops nothing helped until these!! Contact safe and preservative free!!! A nice thick consistency but not enough to make vision blurry

I have thyroid eye disease so I have to use eyedrops several times a day most days, and these eyedrops are my preferred brand for several years now. They help keep my vision from degrading due to occipital orbital swelling and inflammation. I would definitely recommend to those dealing with certain chronic eye issues, but please consult with your Dr. first.
