A: I gifted the regular gravity maze to an 8 year old. He loved it and while the easy levels were too easy, he was challenged by the hard and expert levels as were some adults.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to get a marble maze to play with my 10 year old daughter since she has another Mable building set that she loves. This was a disappointment. To begin with it’s really small. Second, once you finish building it and set the marble it it’s over on the blink of an eye. Seriously, if you blink you’ll miss it. She spent so much time setting the pieces a certain way watch the marble and it’s so fast that you see nothing.

They have used the colors quite a bit, although for one of my children it wasn't so easy to understand, but I feel that it stimulates their brain and after they understand it, they like it. I purchased this for my son (5) who's obsessed with marble runs, hoping it would last longer than the typical marble runs that constantly fall apart during play. He DID love it, however the concept of building based on the instructions was a little advanced for him. (Not a strike against the game. I knew it was for older kids) We still play with it, with my help, but I'd definitely recommend this for kids a little older, for independent play.

No “assembly” required to play, just open and start building the challenges. I love that this has a fun and educational aspect where one can either follow the cards or explore and create their own mazes. There’s also a variety of challenge cards from easy to hard. We found that the pieces are more durable than any other maze we’ve tried and the overall size wasn’t too big or too small either, which is a bonus for parents!
