Description

Honk! Honk! It's gridlock and the little red car can't move. The player is a traffic cop in the Rush Hour Traffic Jam Puzzle where the objective is to get the red car off the road. To play, pick one of 40 challenge cards; solutions are printed on the back of each card. Then set up the cars and buses in a specified pattern on the 6-inch-square road grid. Move the vehicles one by one (obey those traffic laws!) until the red car can escape the traffic jam. There are four levels of difficulty. Kids can alternate turns with another player or just "play in traffic" alone. The game from Binary Arts received a national award from Mensa and is used in elementary school math classes. The design includes clear instructions printed on the sturdy box, which can be used both as a playing tray and for storage. The game cards stow away in a drawer in the road grid.

Cute Concept, But Not My Idea of Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rush Hour has a fun and nostalgic concept, kind of like Frogger but in puzzle form. The idea of maneuvering cars to clear a path is clever, but in practice, it’s more frustrating than enjoyable. The plastic pieces feel flimsy, and instead of being a relaxing game, it just reminds me of real-life traffic—something I already deal with enough! It’s decent for a quick brain teaser, but not how I’d choose to unwind at night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is so much fun! I love that there is a physical edition vs just digital. The packaging is really great because you can keep it contained in the box and play right from there. I’ve played in a table as well as on my lap sitting in the couch! This comes with 40 challenges to complete. The challenge cards store easily tucked away within the game board. I’ve gotten through the beginner and intermediate cards quickly - in a couple days - and now am on the advanced. Quite challenging! My 9 year old daughter loves to play this as well and is so good at it! I like that this is mind stimulating. Also, you can buy a few different sets of 40 more challenges once you’ve gone through the included deck. This is really a one person type of game but you can easily take turns or get help from a second player. I definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great way to keep toddlers off from the screen time. I remembered when I used to play a game like this on my phone but my kid loved it. The packaging was solid and the quality is also great compared to the price of the game. First 10 levels are much easier but as you move on it gets harder. Overall, a great innovation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange of my honest opinion. I’m giving this game a 3 star review just because I expected it to be bigger. It’s almost the size of two regular phones. The cards are a bet useful if you have no ideas on how to place the cards, and the more you advance the harder it gets. We enjoyed playing this game..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for family nights. If you want a challenge with some fun, try Rush Hour. You have a goal of escaping, but how you do it, is the real challenge. There’s different levels of difficulty, so the little ones can try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rush Hour is a fun and challenging logic puzzle that puts you in the role of a traffic cop. The goal is to slide cars around a grid to free the red car from the traffic jam. With 40 challenge cards ranging from easy to difficult, it’s a great brain teaser for all ages. The game is easy to learn but becomes more complex as you progress. I used to love to playing online, but now It’s perfect for my toddler boys to play and helps improve problem-solving skills. Rush Hour is a great pick!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this game, I have something similar on my phone. Therefore, having a physical phone to play with was very cool. The packaging is perfect, which comes in a small box with the design of a road, and the simple but eye appealing bright colors for the cars make everything tie in perfectly. They are out of hard plastic but are very light and easy to move on the grid. My teenage son and I spend time together playing the game and laughing while challenging our minds to find a way to let the red car free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried the game Rush Hour and it’s been a fantastic choice! The game is both fun and educational, helping my little ones develop problem-solving skills while keeping them entertained. The increasing difficulty of the 40 challenges keeps things interesting, and while it’s designed for solo play, we love working through the puzzles together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Traffic Jam is a fun, family-friendly board game that challenges players to solve gridlock puzzles by navigating vehicles through a blocked parking lot. With straightforward rules, varying difficulty levels, and durable components, it’s great for both solo and group play. Its compact size makes it perfect for travel, though multiplayer mechanics could use more variety. Overall, it’s an engaging and educational game for ages 8 and up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rush Hour from Think Fun is a neat strategy, logic game. I like that the pieces are all hard plastic and very durable. The game board has a built-in tray to hold the cards, which is nice. It is entertaining to play. It can be played alone or with others, and you can vary your play style. The downside is that the cars can come off of the "tracks" very easily, so you have to be careful not to mess up where they are on the board. It can also be too quick of a game if you are good with strategy. Overall, it is a fun game for the whole family ages 8 and up.

Fun for even a 3 year old!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 3 year old boy who loves cars. I know this is 8+ but I figured we can all give it a try. I chose a beginner card, set it all up and explained my boy that he needs to get the red car out of the parking lot and he can only move the cars back and forth. He got it really quickly and with a small guidance here and there from me and my husband he was successfully getting the red car out and immediately asking for more. We all had so much fun as a family and it entertained our little guy for at least 30 minutes at the table. The game is light and small, easy to pack when going to a restaurant or on a flight. You can store the cards inside of the little drawer in the board. There is no place to store the cars except of putting it back in the bigger original box. I wish the board was maybe taller with a storage under or at least getting an extra travel bag where I can all toss it in. That’s the only minus I have and doesn’t affect the game on its own but might inspire the creators in a future update (or something to keep on mind if you’d like to take this game on the go).
