[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have some likes and dislikes with this toy train. We really enjoyed that it was battery operated and made sounds like a real train does. It also did god on carpet or tile flooring! The downside is that it was too big to fit over our bridge we built out of some wooden tracks we had. It fit fine on the regular track but was too wide when we tried to have it drive through on the bridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is well made and attractive to look at as an adult. I think the kid was a little less interested due to the muted colors but they loved Hiro overall. The biggest downside was that it was lost in shipping for awhile and I used Mattel's contact us feature to let you know it hadn't arrived but no one got back to me.
Kids love playing with Hiro. Big hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys love Hiro the train! The on and off switch is easy to work. My boys love connecting and disconnecting the train car and taking turns sending the train back and forth to each other. Hiro runs smoothly on tile and carpet. My boys use their imagination and create tunnels for Hiro to go through.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sons enjoyed playing with Hiro. They liked how fast he went and that he could run on tracks or our floor. They liked to pretend that Hiro was talking to them as he chugged off on his next adventure :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Missing the old faces. It is still looks good and works fine. The only difference if you have the older version is the face is a little more cartoonish! I prefer the 3d more elaborate face of the previous models. Kids doesn’t care though so it might just be parent preference

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids and adults alike enjoyed an evening playing with the Hiro motorized train from the Thomas &Friends collection. We even sat and made crafts coloring tracks and town pieces to set around it! Then everyone took turns running the train on the track! The kids then sat and ran it back and forth between them! After everyone went to bed I couldn’t find Hiro. I pulled back blankets to see one of the kids took it to bed and fell asleep with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When i received this train, my kids were immediately excited and couldnt wait to play. My littles are 3 and 2 and recently became interested in Thomas and Friends. We have a few motorized trains now but they have been seeing less and less play with Hiro entering the fray. They use it on the train table with tracks and it works perfectly. The battery life is impressive and havent had to change them yet with all the use. The colors are awesome, and the facial expression is so accurate from the show. I cant recommend this toy enough. If your children love Thomas, this is a must have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The motorized train provided a lot of different playing options and let’s the children play with it on the tracks or just on the floor or table. I like the size and it’s easy to connect with other trains and doesn’t get them frustrated when trying to connect. It’s definitely a hit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy was liked very much. Just the right size for my 3 year old to carry with him. It was just a bit rough for him to turn the train on. The batteries lasted a long time with full power. My boy loved the train and played with it all day.
Simple to use, even for toddlers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fisher Price Thomas and Friends Hiro train is a great toy train for little kids that usually require assistance with more elaborate toys. This train has a very simple switch in red to turn it on and off and its so simple to understand that my two year old does it on his own. He has wooden tracks and is able to use this on them with no issues. The only flooring I've seen it have trouble with is carpeting but hard flooring it runs with no problem as well. It requires batteries to run and they're not included so you will have to purchase those. I love the new updated face on these trains as its much more kid friendly and looks more geared towards their intended target audience vs looking more mature for the kids. Overall its a good value and price for the quality you get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great toy train from the classic Thomas Series. Simple and straight forward for the kids to figure out. Well made, functions great and goes pretty far. There are no small Parts or anything that can come off and be a choking hazard. My little one loves it says it’s his favorite train

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this little train but it just isn’t great without a track. When it is turned on the train car that it is pulling ends up coming off due to the train not going straight. Very cute little train, just not great at going.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child loved playing with his new train! It was a huge hit for my soon to be 2 year old. My only complaint would be we wished it made some kind of noise a choo choo or a few words from the character. Something… also it’s a slight hazard for kids with long hair the first day we had it my daughter got it stuck in her hair and we had to cut her hair to get it out but a lot of motorized toys are this way. Overall a nice toy that my children are enjoying
I loved this train. It will get plenty play time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toy for free through the Play, Rate & Review program. This toy was well packaged you can clearly see the train you will purchase. Once I opened the train I placed 2 AAA batteries underneath the bottom of the train. It's stated clearly on the back. Personally I would've preferred for it to be placed in front at the bottom of the box. Once opened I looked over the toy to make sure there were not any sharp parts on it before my grandson played with it. Once I saw it was good to go. He enjoyed the train. He had fun chasing the train. I personally does diaroma and would recommend this toy for your collection. It painted black with gold trim. Has a number on the back caboose 51. The train name is Hiro. It would've been cool to have the name on the train. The locomotive would've been nice to make the choo choo sound. This train has plenty of speed. Once we pulled the level it took off. I tested it on carpet, concrete and asphalt paving. It rolled very well. It's easy to use and assemble. What's also great you can attach another one. Once I see another I will. Once the back flipped over it didn't come apart. The back has an attachment to add more.
Great quality train, not the best for wooden track

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this train is good quality and I would recommend it. It does not seem like it would break easily and is very easy for younger children to turn on and off. Hiro's face has been updated to be more animated looking. Since this is how the current shows and movies are too, I think its a nice change and keeps the characters relevant. The motor also works really well and has a decent speed (not too fast or slow). The biggest downside to this character is that the track compatibility seems to be for plastic tracks. We have a wooden original track and while it does work, it is not smooth. The train is unable to make it up any 'hills' made in the track and occasionally gets stuck at turns or track intersections. It is also slightly larger and does not fit in the tunnels that we have. While I do not have the plastic to test its compatibility, it makes sense that the updated train would run smoothest on the updated tracks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This train is super cute. It's a simple motorized train. It doesn't make any sound and it does require 2 AAA batteries. This would be great for a train track at home and especially great for any fan of Thomas the Train and his friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this train for my train-loving 4 year old. She absolutely loves her Hiro Motorized Engine! Once I opened the box, I located the instructions which were in the bottom of the box. I needed to know which screw was for the batteries. I needed to install 2 AAA batteries which was super simple as I only needed to take out 1 screw. Once I got the train running, I placed it on our wooden train tracks and away it went! It moves pretty fast! It is super easy for my daughter to operate as there is one lever on the back of Hiro that turns the train on and off. Hiro only moves forward and is made of plastic. I highly recommend this toy for your train-loving kids. It is so much fun building the train track and watching Hiro zoom around the track!
