I’m not sure this gets my clothes any cleaner than the generic brand to be honest, and I don’t have a lot of whites or stains to see how the Oxi works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With all the laundry detergent reformulations lately it’s hard to find a detergent that actually works. I’m pleased that this Tide Oxi Boost works fantastic on getting new and preset stains out! Using the recommended amount is key so the enzymes in the detergent can dilute with the water and work its magic. The deep blue color is great for washing whites and getting them to brighten again. “Bluing” is just cancelling out the yellowing that happens when white clothes are bleached too heavily or oils and dirt aren’t removed when washed. Personally I didn’t find the scent heavy and after the laundry has been rinsed in the wash cycle the laundry is left smelling fresh and not scent heavy.

Smells great works amazing and obviously always comes in hard plastic container. I will definitely stick with Tide, especially due to so many allergies. This is a good one.

With four kids, a bulldog who’s allergic to cleanliness, and a husband who brings home half the construction site on his pants, laundry around here isn’t just a chore — it’s an extreme sport. And then there’s me. I work in healthcare, so my scrubs see everything from blood to saliva on a daily basis. Add in gardening on the weekends (yes, I know I should rest — tell that to my tomato plants), and you’ll understand why our laundry basket could probably qualify for its own biohazard label. So, when I say I tested this detergent, I really tested it. First load: winter jackets. Muddy, salty, end-of-season survivors. Came out clean and soft, like they hadn’t just survived a PNW winter. Second load: kids’ sneakers. Not new, but not disgusting anymore. That’s a win. Third load: my scrubs. Spotless. That’s not something I say often. And the dog’s blanket? Let’s just say it no longer smells like he buried it in the compost bin. The scent is strong but not artificial — clean and fresh, like a reset button. And I didn’t even need to add fabric softener. Glad I didn’t throw it out! Doesn’t have a strong scent either which is a bonus! Packaged in a regular box with a plastic bag around it. This detergent worked well in my machine on my dirty workout clothes so it’s definitely something I’d buy again. There was no residue left and even my workout clothes smelled faintly like this after my workout which is a nice sign. A+ detergent.
