A: The most common cause of this is not placing PODS™ in the empty washing drum, before the clothing. They need agitation and water to ensure they fully dissolve, and placing them on top doesn't allow for this. We also advise against quick wash cycles, as they may not provide enough water. A: That is an excellent question. Our Tide PODS™ have a shelf life of 15 months, and we recommend using them within 12 months after purchase. However, some products contain ingredients to help preserve the product and kill bacteria, and some of these ingredients may release a small amount of formaldehyde. The smell of these is terrible! It's overpowering and smells like lysol toilet bowl cleaner. I'm having to rewash all of my clothing and bedding to get the smell out. I will not be purchasing these again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried it for the first time. It did not fully dissolve and plugged the front drain in my washer. I peeled it off and I'm running a cycle without soap. I should have put on a supper glove because I now can't get the smell off my fingers. Washed my hands twice and have tried Purelle. Still smells strong. I will never again use this crap.

It has a very strong, harsh scent, reminiscent of cheap perfume. My kids are okay with it, but I am sensitive to smells, and it bothers me to no end. I will never buy it again and am now wary of Tide products.

PODs Recurring Issue - Missing PODs in Packaging

For the second time, I have counted my PODs in my 42 pack only to find 27 inside. Last time, it was 25 and I figured it was temporary factory glitch. I am now convinced this is intentional consumer price gouging and false product advertising. I am beyond disappointed and will no longer use your product.
