A: You can always put the pod in the drum. We recommend contacting the manufacturer of the washer to see if you can put the power pod in the detergent dispenser.

Q: How much PVA gets into the waterways from each pod? Have you measured how much of this substance that turns to plastic is absorbed into clothing, bedding versus ends up in our water supplies?

Pros it cleans well and I like that it is free of fragrance. Cons these don't dissolve well in my washer. I have a front loader and I throw it in the drum. I just don't think there is enough water, the pod doesn't dissolve and gets stuck to my clothes. I have started putting it in a laundry bag which helps but I still have to rinse it after the wash so I wouldn't say it is convenient. I will get through them but I won't purchase them again.

We're so very sorry to hear about this. As you suspected, if not enough water comes into contact with the pod, this can happen. If you aren't doing so already, be sure to use your washer when no other water appliance is running like a shower or sink. The cleanest my laundry has ever been. Even old stains seem to have been removed. One noticeable difference, however, is this does not have a fabric softener as a component so clothes are not as smooth or soft. Upside, leaves clothing (especially towels) more absorbent, and eliminating the surface film softener often leaves on fabrics. One pod per large load is sufficient, cuts down on my overuse of liquid detergent.

I got the Clear Hygienic Pods to use on all my sheets and towels, after one washing the buildup up of skin oils is gone. The sheets are bright white, soft, and smell clean without any artificial scent. I love this product so much i sent it to my daughters to try in their homes.

I love tide pods more than anything!! I love all the smells wish they had more smell! I sometimes prefer that clean scent over my unstoppables!! Plus so easy I throw them in no more liquid spills, and my clothes come out so clean! I have 2 kids an elderly father and a dog I’m beyond impressed. I am a manager at a grocery store I live order every tide product for my customers trusting that if I can use it so can they. Thank you tide!!!

Tide Hygienic Clean does not take out stains. Simple stains like chocolate cannot be removed with this product, even if you use two pods. I really wanted to like this because you only need one pod per load.

At Tide, we care about the condition of your fabrics, so we make our detergents tough to remove those toughest stains. Of course, chocolate isn't an exception, so we're sorry to hear about this. For the best results removing those stains, we suggest removing excess chocolate, flush the back of the fabric with cold water, pre-treat by pouring our Tide Ultra Strain Release using a brush and doing a standard cycle making sure you follow your fabric's care instructions. The plastic containing the detergent doesn’t break down in the wash. I thought these would be so much easier but I end up cleaning out the detergent tray every time. I’m not convinced this works at all. I won’t be buying it again.

I absoutely love these laundry pods. Tide scores a 10 with this product. Our clothes are always clean and residue free while using this product. Also even on large to oversized loads I never need to use more than 2 pods. Forever favorite.
