Description
Windowsills can provide the perfect light conditions for indoor plants. A windowsill-sized, self-watering tray serves as an excellent holiday watering solution. Once filled, it can keep potted plants hydrated for up to 14 days. The design includes a base reservoir tray with a 'stilted' inner support platform, topped with capillary matting. This base tray holds up to 1 gallon of water. Ensuring that the compost exposed at the bottom contacts the capillary matting allows the plants to self-water. I bought this because I was going on a ten-day vacation and my son no longer lived nearby. Would by houseplants die? This tray solved the problem! It works so well I use it all the time now.

It is a creative way to keep the water off the leaves of my violets. I let material dry out so the violets don't get too much water.

My seed-starting was going nowhere. Even though I work from home, I wasn't able to keep the starting soil consistently moist. February and March humidity is a challenge here. I purchased two of these trays, and they changed everything. My peat pots and soil now have consistent moisture, and seeds are sprouting like clockwork.
