Q: Is Tillamook cheese kosher?

A: Hello and thank you for your question! We currently only make one certified kosher cheese, which is our Kosher Medium Cheddar 8 oz Block. However, all of our cheeses (with the exception of our Maker’s Reserve 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 cheddars) are considered vegetarian and do not contain any animal-derived ingredients besides milk. A: Hi John, thank you for your question! Tillamook Cheese is 100% real cheese, made with high-quality milk from cows not treated with rBST. The only ingredients we use are Cultured Milk, Salt, Enzymes, and Annatto. In contrast, processed cheeses usually have a long list of ingredients including preservatives, emulsifiers, artificial coloring and flavors, and salt. We hope this helps!

This is the second time this year I've bought Tillamook cheese at Target that is showing signs of modeling. For the premium price I expect the cheese to last to their expiration date. I work for a CPG company that this would NOT be acceptable for.

Tillamook is hands down best cheese. I grew up in the Midwest thinking we had it made with Wisconsin cheese, but PNW cheese is a force to be reckoned with. You can tell Tillamook cows are living a good life by the creaminess and quality of all their products!
