Tillamook Frozen Cheddar & Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese - 22oz

If people like this then they haven't ever tried the Beecher's (world's best) Mac & Cheese. This Tillamook frozen Mac wasn't even near as good as the inexpensive Trader Joe's hatch chile frozen Mac. This is woefully under seasoned and needed a fair amount of salt. The sauce was broken, clumpy and oily. The noodles were so soft they fell apart. There wasn't any of that great sharp Tillamook cheddar flavor I would have expected which just made it that much more disappointing. I honestly wouldn't even buy this if it was half this price. Spend the extra $2 and get the Beecher's. They've nailed every aspect of their frozen mac so I guess this brand never really stood a chance anyway.

This was the biggest dinner disappointment! The cheese simply did not melt after being in the oven for over an hour. It was freezer burned with a lot of ice in the tray when I peeled off the plastic wrap. I was excited for this product because it has Hatch green chile but it was clumpy and not creamy for a Mac and Cheese.

I was really excited to try out Tillamook's new mac and cheese since I love their products as they're almost always great quality. I bought this hatch chile one since the bacon one was sold out and I wanted something extra in it. I'm really disappointed in it though as it was surprisingly ridiculously bland. Honestly I'm shocked that this was made by Tillamook. It tasted like cheap microwavable mac and cheeses I've had from much lower quality brands. The pasta wasn't coated in much sauce, the cheese imparted very little flavor, and even the hatch chiles gave almost no taste. I also didn't detect any spiciness at all from the hatch chiles. The cornbread crumbles were really good and flavorful, but there was very little of them. The only place I found any was the very center of the mac and cheese and there was only a 0.5 inch by 3/4 of an inch rectangle of it. That's all they included. Honestly that was the only part of the entire dish that had any flavor. I was hoping this would be a good alternative to Beecher's frozen mac and cheese, but unfortunately that turned out not to be the case. For the high price and low quality I don't recommend getting this. If you want something that tastes similar buy any frozen mac and cheese product. If you want something with actual flavor and don't mind paying more buy Beecher's. I hope Tillamook goes back and completely reformulates this product so Beecher's actually has some competition.

Thoroughly enjoying this the second time purchasing. I’ve only cooked it in the microwave and would agree with the one reviewer that stated the sauce is not creamy. But the flavor is outstanding. Just the right amount of Hatch Chilis to make it stand out from plain Mac & Cheese. I love Tillamook cheeses so that’s why I tried this.

Alright, so I finally tried this Tillamook's Cheddar & Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese, my friend recommended it and WOW This is amaxing. Perfect for when you need a quick, tasty fix. Just wish there were a little more hatch chiles and itd be wayy better 🔥

its on the spicy side but its okay since i can manage the spiciness and its still cheesy mac and cheese! its very easy to eat, great for no dinner nights
