Q: Is this a narrow or wide size boots?
submitted by Lyn - 2 years ago
A: This boot runs more on the narrow side. If you usually wear wide in footwear this one might be too narrow.

Great boots & very very waterproof

Extremely comfortable boots while hiking & very waterproof - I've had these boots for a year and worn them hiking in heavy rain & wading through tidepools and my feet have stayed very dry. I've worn them in the desert & in summer heat and my feet have stayed comfortable (not too warm!) + sand-free. They feel very secure on my feet and have grippy bottoms. My only complaint is that I was wavering between purchasing my size and a half size up & the associate at the store I went to convinced me to buy the 8 - while my toes never feel pinched in the boot, I do think I should have sized up half a size to leave more room! They're lightweight as well, which makes walking in them easier. As an added bonus - they are also cute (particularly the brown color)!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes. I am pretty picky when it comes to shoes for myself. I normally wear flat shoes like Vans and Chacos. But needed a good pair of hiking boots. These have been amazing! Super comfy. My only complaint is that they tend to come untied quite frequently.

Too narrow for me. I ended up returning them, but they seemed like really nice shoes for people who do not have wide feet. Otherwise it hit at a comfortable place on my ankle and felt like great support there.

Nice boots but too narrow

The boots quality wise are very nice, I wear a women’s 10M, I have flat feet, and my feet are narrow. I purchased both a 10M and 11M, reading the reviews. The 10M width was so narrow, I could get my foot into it, but it was tight. Size 11 fit ok in the width, but about 1 inch too much room in the toe, and thick socks would have made it too tight in the width. I didn’t even try to tie the boot laces, just put them in the box and returned to my local Target store for a refund. I took photos below to show how narrow they are and even used a tape measure. The tennis shoe is a size 10M, and the boot in the photo is the size 11M. Would not recommend unless your foot is very very narrow. Great price thought, really disappointed thought at least one pair would work out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore the boots around the house for several hours one day and they were quite comfortable. Then I took a 6 1/2 mile hike a few days later. No blisters, no pain. They're great.

I absolutely love these hiking boots. These are my fifth pair, I wear them all winter. They are as comfortable as slippers. I have hiked in them, built a shed in them, and walked miles and miles in them dog walking. I was heartbroken that during covid I couldn't find my size. I'm back in business now!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great boot not cumbersome, lightweight but had to return because this boot ran small and narrow. I wear a 10 reg. tried a 10 W didn't work, 11 should do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sent the boots back for an exchange to a size larger and wider. I want to wear heavy socks for the winter and the 8.5 Med. is too tight. These are sturdy and good looking and I think with the right sizing they will be one comfy boot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems that wide width doesn't actually mean wide. I had to return these boots as they were uncomfortable across the widest part of my foot. It's a good looking boot, though.

When I first put these on, I couldn't help but notice how nice the lacing fittings are. The laces at the top hit just right, which has been a problem for me with other boots in the past. The boots felt snug and secure, but not too stifling. However, after wearing them in the house for about half an hour, it became apparent that these shoes are too narrow. I normally buy medium width, but I could feel my foot spilling over the sides of the sole when I felt the sides of the upper with my hand. Gonna have to get them in wide instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Going up a half size was a great fit. These boots are working with old and current foot injuries. The sole isn't the typical wider hiking style and allows for better movement off road while still comfortable on hard surfaces

I loved these when i first got them. After about 6 months of regular wear the toe area is collapsing in on itself and extremely painful. Not sure what is going on. I have owned Timberland in the past and loved them, these were a complete waste of money.

My second pair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair. My regular size is 6.5. My first pair was a true size, that is 6.5. I bought size 7.5 now because my feet get larger when I hike and sweat. It's very comfortable, light weight, I can walk on smooth slippery surface. It looks smaller compared with other styles, but this style has more room inside. Normally, size 7.5 shoes looks very large on my feet; but not this pair. This style is excellent. I recommend to get one size larger. I like: light weight, not bulky, outsoles are not high, non slippery.
