Q: Does product contain or leech PFAs, PFOs or PFOAs?
A: Hi Mary, thank you for reaching out to us. Our Play Mats are made of PE (polyethylene) foam, a hypoallergenic material that is free of BPA, phthalates, lead, formamide, and formaldehyde. They comply with California Proposition 65 and do not contain flame retardants, as polyethylene naturally meets flammability standards. The only other material used is a non-toxic colorant to add color. Our play mats have undergone extensive testing to confirm they are completely non-toxic. They do not contain PFA, PFO, or PFOA. While PFO and PFOA are part of the broader PFAS category, they are typically found in non-stick cookware rather than in our products.

Q: I read another brand was a magnet for dog hair. Anyone have any issues with dog hair and being able to get it cleaned off?
A: Thank you for your question. We have not received complaints of pet hair being difficult to remove from our play mats. While we understand that pet hair may freely land on the play mat if you have a pet in your home, it is important to remember that we do not recommend pets to be on our play mats as their toenails/claws will puncture the foam.

A: Thank you for your question. There is not a pattern on the backside of the play mat and it is a solid neutral cream color.

Q: Love the mat but what would be the best way to clean it??
A: Thank you for your question. You can clean your play mat by using hot, soapy water and wiping with a clean cloth. Dish soap is a great choice for soap. Be sure to then rinse with clean water and allow to dry thoroughly. We do not recommend using harsh chemicals.

Q: can this be folded or altered to fit into a smaller play yard?
A: Thank you for your question. The Toddleroo Play Mat is 71" x 71" and does not have the ability to be folded or altered into a smaller size. To accommodate smaller enclosures, simply place the enclosure on top of the unfolded play mat.

Q: Does the Toddleroo by North States Superyard ABC play mat have "grippers" on the bottom side to keep it from slipping around the floor as a toddler plays on it? (Grippers similar to those on toddlers' or elderly people's socks.)
A: Thank you for your question. There are not grippers attached to the backside of the play mat.

Q: Is the mat soft enough for baby to do tummy time? Or do we need to put a blanket on top?
A: Thank you for your question. The play mat is made of a soft PE (polyethylene) foam and the thickness of the playmat is .45". Additionally, it is approved by the JPMA to be used with children ages 6-24 months. Using a blanket with the mat is your preference, however, would not be needed.

Q: What is ABC play mat made of? Is it free of harmful substances, such as PVC, lead, BPA, phthlate, formaldehyde, formamide, etc.? Is the paint or color used in this play mat non-toxic?
A: Thank you for your question. Our Play Mats are made of PE (polyethylene) foam, are hypoallergenic and free of BPA, phthalate, lead, formamide, and formaldehyde. They have been verified as being compliant with California Proposition 65. Our play mats do not contain flame retardants because the base material (polytheylene) meets the flammability tests without them. The only other material present in the product is non-toxic colorant that is used to color the polyethylene. The product has been subjected to a battery of tests to verify that it is completely non-toxic.
